Hi, everyone. It's been awhile. I'm on Tripawds every day, reading about the triumphs and losses. My heart breaks every time I see that another one of your beloved animals has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I haven't been able to log in and post yet because it still hurts too much, but I'm always checking on and thinking about all of you.
I miss Willow every day. I have adopted another dog, not to replace her because that can never happen , but rather to honor her by giving a home to another dog who didn't have one. His name is Seven. He's another dog that nobody wanted, and their loss has been my gain. He was abandoned 8 years ago at a boarding kennel, and when that kennel closed down, Pacific Coast Dog Rescue, the wonderful rescue that I got Willow from, took him in or he would have been euthanized. He is an 11 year old 85 plus lb American Pit Bull Terrier and he has a neurological disorder, Cerebellar Ataxia. He is sweet and wonderful and has helped fill my empty heart.
Because I still visit the Tripawds site every day, I read about the website giveaway by Gilday Creative in honor of Finnegan. When I saw it, I immediately thought of the rescue that both Willow and Seven came from. Pacific Coast Dog Rescue is amazing. The rescue takes in dogs that nobody else wants or can handle, lovingly cares for them, rehabilitates them, and finds them forever homes no matter how long it takes. I decided that nominating Pacific Coast Dog Rescue for the website giveaway was another way to honor Willow's memory. And they made it as a finalist!
Can I ask the Tripawds community to vote for Pacific Coast Dog Rescue in honor of Willow? It would mean a lot to me, to the rescue, and to all the dogs looking for their forever home and all the dogs Pacific Coast Dog Rescue will be able to help when they have more and better exposure from a new website!

Thank you so much for your kindness! Getting Seven, helping Pacific Coast Dog Rescue with their nomination for the website giveaway and spreading the word so they get votes, and also volunteering with a special project they are working on to rehome some dogs and cats on an elderly couple's property has been very therapeutic for me. Helping other animals makes me feel like I am honoring Willow's memory. She spent 10 years of her life at Pacific Coast Dog Rescue waiting for her forever home, and they took such good care of her!

I'm so sorry about Sassy. I know how your heart is breaking. It will get easier, but it takes time. I still miss Willow, and I still cry because it hurts so much. But, I can laugh now, too, when I think of the silly and crazy things she did. I hope you can smile though your tears sometimes!

Yeah, we've got to keep voting! One of the "click ons" shows shows Willow and Finn's team ahead.....BUT....the newest ne shows them trailing vy a over a hundred! UGH! Tripawd only have three paws but there are a whole lot f js to vote! Let's make our paws count!
