Well.....here's a little variation from the "perfect Santa visit". It comes with a backdrop that is...well...designed with "simplicity" in mind and dogs that just aren't into posing. It also comes with one of the best Santas arou d! Santa came to help me get Frankie and Merry Myrtle out of the car. He proidly walked all around PetCo with them and loved ro point out Frankie is a tripawd to all those who hadn't noticed. He showed customers how Myrtle sat still as a statue staring at the cookie bar...gently wiping her drool the whole time with a tissue.
And Frankie and Merry Myrtle loved every second!!
Oh,I just want to point out that mlst of the "vocals" in the video belong to a wonderful staff person trying to help get them to pose. Feel free to cut the volume down!!

OK. Now I have to go wake up the laptop. As is usual, I can only play one of the videos. This time I got the third one. Still laughing, and I haven't even seen the other two yet!

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Those are great photos I would say that Frankie is fabulous at posing, while Merry Myrtle is, uhhhh, uncooperative...
What a great Santa. They must love it when you show up.
I thought long and hard about taking Mona in for her photo with Santa at the vet clinic. I chose not to because I would have done it for me (it would be cute) and not for her (it could be stressful). Although she's really easy going at the vet clinic I don't want to take a chance of stressing her in any way. So I behaved like an adult She would have looked good with Santa though...
That's a great photo of Happy Hannah.
Happy holidays Sally and family,
Kerren and Tripawd Kitty Mona
OMG ... laughing over here!!! Wrestling 2 BIG dogs ..... bless your heart! I had a hard enough time with ONE little dog! And we were (thankfully) in an enclosed puppy training room at Petco (same backdrop). These are great. They are so adorable!!! I always say photographing dogs (and cats) HAS to be harder than kids.... Shelby's best photos came as she got older and more mellow. The squeakers, while good in theory, are confusing since they think... you want me to come get the toy?
I am usually in the back saying..wanna cookie? wanna a walk? anything to get the eyes perked up and looking at mama!
Thank you for sharing these
alison with spirit shelby in her heart (and little jasper too)
PS - great idea to bring Hannah!!! I didn't even think of that! Next year!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Those two sure do have distinct different personalities that come through loud and clear in those photos and videos don't they? They're both just so sweet and precious. You sure are one lucky lady friend Sally! im sure Happy Hannah was thrilled to be able to be part of this special day too!

Awww Sally those turned out great. I loved it. <3 <3 <3 . For the first time of seeing Santa Paws they did a great job and so did you.
We go today. Its raining here I honestly thought about taking Sassy's portrait with us but I don't have a smaller one in a frame and it's raining I don't want to get the big one wet. So it will just be the 3 silly mugs. Hope ours turn out great like everyone else's so far.
Merry Christmas xoxoxox

I love these Sally!!! We were supposed to go today, but I'm not feeling so great. So we've postponed to next week and our four legged cousin Ziggy will be able to go with us! But everyone keep all the Santa Paws pictures coming, I love them all!
Cassie and Domino

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
Those are great!
I've honestly never gotten past the point of just thinking about taking our crew to see Santa! lol I don't think Max would stop barking, Cassie would be cringing & maybe growling, Murphy would probably be ok, but that's about it.
Thanks for the laughs!!

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Too funny. Wyatt Ray can totally relate.
We realized he has never taken his picture with Santa, likely because his first experience with El Santa Boracho didn't go to well...

Those are awesome, and what a great Santa!
I only tried taking the pugs once, Tani and Obie...not my best idea. I used to make pug Christmas cards every year and I had never tried a real live Santa. I took them to a Pug Rescue fund raiser event. I did get a picture for my card, just barely. Obie is afraid of strangers and Tani hated to be held by anyone. By the time we were done Tani had gotten herself halfway out of her harness! Here is the final card, it's from 2012.
Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Awesome Sally! You are to be commended for attempting such an undertaking! I'd love to take my boys, but I dont think santa would want "Cujo" on his lap - Nitro would lose his mind seeing other dogs there. I'll just live vicariously through you!
Paula and Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
