What a Thanksgiving dinner the three of us just finished off. Fortis has been snacking on bacon and herb roasted turkey breast (We don't have Tofurky is Texas) as well gobs of sweet potatoes all day. He is in heaven. I must say, I have done my fair share of snacking myself. Lots of pumping going on here I hope everyone has a had wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
Trouble, I pray all that sitting in front of the oven has paid off for you today. You deserve it girl, but don't eat to much because tomorrow is going to be a grand day indeed. The big 12/24, Wow!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Fortis'Dad
Trouble and Duke both had turkey snacks, yeast rolls, and potato skins. Not too much turkey. Dr F says they see more dogs with tummy upsets the day after Thanksgiving than any other time of year. Tomorrow is a big day for Miss T. I will be the first to admit this week two years ago, I didn't think I would have her until the next Thanksgiving, so now to have her a second Thanksgiving is just awesome. I often sit an ponder why a select few of them are so fortunate and others have so short a time. Is it simply timing, progression, treatment, or none of the above that makes the difference?
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

We do too.
Boy, if we had the answer to that, we'd give it away for free so that every one of our Tripawds with cancer could have a long, hoppy life. It often seems like cancer does whatever the heck it wants to do. I wish I knew the answer.

Trouble waiting patiently for the turkey is charming. I would have to give her the turkey, dedication like that always impresses me.
I like that you have bonded with the pups and their people that started the journey at the same time as you. I am sad that two out the of the five remain but I find comfort in that two are still here.
Good job little Trouble, hope you get lots of turkey snacks to make up for your dilligence!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
My daughter came home and brought her 4 legged critter Milo with her, a pug, the cooking was of no concern to him, the carving was of extreme importance, the poor guy probably stretched 3 inches trying to see what was going on once I gave him the first tidbit. Wondering why some of our buddies live longer than others, I think it is part all the above along with some good luck. I heard on the radio the other day the average person will consume an extra 600 calories a day between now and the end of the year, anybody disciplined enough to stay out of that catagory!!!! Hope you all had a good Thanksiving, Spirit Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
