Hi all. It's Bob. I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I think about you all often and wanted to share some photos of what's going on here lately. I miss Mattie every day and her pictures on my wall constantly serve as reminders of the incredible relationship we have and how she is still always there for me in my new journeys. Mattie rests on my mantle in her custom engraved walnut urn. I know she is still always with me, every day, forever.
Since then I've had Batman here. My girlfriend helped Batman's mom birth the litter. There were 8 puppies. There was one puppy that Marti (my girlfriend) latched onto quite a bit. All of the puppies were black GSD puppies except for one. One was cream colored except for a black "mask" across her eyes. "Batman" became her name. She won't respond to anything else now. She's my baby. She was born 4/12/2015. GSD mixed with don't know what else. Her daddy, Scout, is here too now. He's legit pure GSD. About 5-6 years old.
My "Baby Doll" will always be Mattie. Batman is my "Baby." I'm sure never to mix the terms even though one means the world to me and the other one does, too.
This is a pic of Batman when she was a few days old. She's the piglet cream color looking thing with the black mask over her eyes (hence the name "Batman").
And here she is just a few months later as she's growing (no more black mask, but still "Batman"):
And here are Batman and Scout (Batman's Daddy).
One more of Scout (Batman's Daddy):
Both of them outside together:
We still enjoy bacon:
And after a long day of bacon and playing, it gets to be like this:
Glad to post again. I hope everyone is doing well. Scout makes me think of Jerry alot and how this site developed and helped lots of people and their furry companions, through good times and bad, times of reflection and times of new hopes,
Best wishes.
Bob, Marti, Batman & Scout and, always, Spirit Mattie
Oh my goodness is Batman adorable! And Scout looks like such a proud daddy! Mattie will always be with you

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
