Good morning Tripawds! This is a milestone day for me and for tripawds. This is post #3000 for me. I never dreamed the day I registered this day would come. The folks I've met here are the most amazing, dedicated, wonderful dog owners. The dogs here are amazing, strong, brave warriors.
I've learned so very much here. About Tripawds, about love, about accepting, and about loss. There have been so many journeys end and each breaks my heart, but I continue to come back for the ones whose journey continues. This community has been there to support so many facing amputation, likely more than they even know about as we all know everyone who visits doesn't register.
Tripawds offers a chats, blogs, gifts, and forums – there truly is something for everyone here.
Thank you Tripawds for continuing to be here, to offer hope. Thank you friends, for the wonderful stories, for the look into the lives of your brave pups. Thank you Trouble for helping me find this avenue of sharing. And thank you guys for some of the signature phrases that will mark my life for all the days to come – Paws Up! and love never ends
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Thank YOU, Shanna, for being one of the first here to welcome me and tell me everything would be okay! You are a grounding presence here and I know you are a truly wonderful person. I don't have to meet you to know that, because dogs know who's genuine and who's not, and Trouble loved you. So thank you for all the hard work and sympathy and empathy and reality checks.
Shari
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Well said, Shanna!
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

And I thought 500 was big deal, way to go Shanna, I'm sure there is some kind of recognition, like the golden paw award or something like that, right admin!!!!!! It has been a pleasure to be associated with you and go through all the different phases this journey puts us through, and to say we've all been through it together is pretty neat. Amazing how we can feel like we know or can be a part of someones life and yet have never met them, what a great feeling. Here's a big PAWS UP to you Shanna, Spirit Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
Awww! That's wonderful and what nice sentiments!
WAIT A SECOND!!!! ............I'm nipping at your heels!!!

Thank you guys for all the kind words. This is such a wonderful group of people. If you don't frequent other forums, you don't really know how nice it is here.
