Hi everyone!
Long time no post for me! Life has been busy, but Chloe's still doing great! Anyway in my data analysis class, we have a class project for "data crunching" (doing statistical analyses, making pretty graphs etc..) and I have been looking for an online database for dog cancer records. I have found a human equivalent that gives information such as "patient age of diagnosis, type of cancer, level of severity, if recovered or age passed" etc... but I can't seem to find one for dogs.
Having a dog who is a cancer survivor (and one that passed from it), I would love to do a class project on dog cancer, so if anyone knows of a public resource I can access that gives me data as mentioned above (if has yearly records even better!) please post below! I have a feeling that universities with veterinary ties have such databases, but being at a Marine Lab, I don't have any such resource. Plus I would be happy to share my findings on my blog and this forum post if anyone is interested!!!!

Us too! That's why we originally created the Tripawds Amputation and Cancer Care Survey! It is not exactly a scientific study by any means, and it is not cancer-specific, but we would be pleased if you cold do something with all the data we've collected.

So awesome! I forgot you had the survey!! I will talk to one of my instructors about it and regardless of what they say, I would love to practice data analysis skills and do something with the data! I can write a script (program type thing) in MATLAB that can automatically analyze the data so if there are more participants in the future, it won't be hard to add their data to the statistics/output!

YES!!!! We have been wanting something like this for SO long! Especially because it's time to do another round for all of the new folks who've joined since we first created it two years ago. Thank you for looking into it.

Maybe I can try to crop a portion of the picture and blow it up somehow? Might get a bit grainy... hmm will have to think about it. I agree, it looks pretty cool close up!
