On the internet, at dogs! I was on Petfinder this morning. My husband was looking over my shoulder. He finally chimed in with his thoughts. Mixed breed. Lab mix that is. He just feels that our mixed breeds have had fewer health troubles. He also questioned did I want a puppy because of house training. My thought is I want the longest time possible with him and also I am hoping to form that un breakable bond with him. Then he proceeded to take my iPad and scroll through the pups.clap I originally went on looking again for Mickey. I did not see him so he must have been adopted. That is how the whole dog conversation got started. Hubby burst out in a rendition of Oh Mickey you're so fine! I then brought up Mickey and he said that would be so cool, we could sing that to him. So, we will see. I am going to try and stay off Petfinder until I get back from the beach. I board my pups in a terrific kennel, they have their own " bedroom" flat screen, their own play yard and lots of Kongs and petting. I just do not feel comfortable going away from a new guy for 10 days. He may feel abandoned. So I will wait. I will see. Ty will send him to me I know. Lori and. Ty

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Yaaaaaayyyyyy!

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

TEARS OF JOY FLOWING OVER HERE!! You darn right, Ty Guy will send you EXACTLY what you need!!

Although my Myrtle isn't "pupoy breath" age puppy, she was 5 1/2 mnths when I got her. I k ow EXACTLY what you mean about puppies coming with the "hope" of longevity! I think that's why some of the adults and seniors I was checking into disn't work out...Happy Hannah had her sights set on Merry Mytrle all along! And I do adopt "end of the line" seniors sometimes and it does set you up from the get-go for heart breack...but you know you gave them the best "beginning" to a life villed with loving and spoiling as their journey is "ending". And right now is NOT the time for you to be dealing with heart ache!

Oh, and I was owned by a Mickey...Mickey Motto is the name I gave him....blessed with his presence for fourteen years until a year ago!! And he was an eighty pounder too! Yep, since he was a pupoy too!

Toasting a bowl of oce cream tonight to your hubby!! Sometimes they can be very good boys,! Keeping al, paws crossed for you!!!

My heart is bursting with joy for you! Now we've gotta get Bonnie's hubby on board!!
Sending love and best wishes!!

Sally and Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Hurray!

Perhaps Nurse Lucy could become Nanny Lucy so a puppy wouldn't be quite so much work for you :)

Many hugs

Aww that's fantastic news! Little by little, you'll eventually find that one special pup who Ty knows is just right for you.

YAY!!!! That's great news!!!!

Well I can chime in, Jasper is a little over a year already and that worked for me. Shelby was about 6- 8 months when I got her and trained. Can you tell, I don't like the house-breaking phase? Or the chewing? Either way, what's a couple months in the long scheme of things?!? Love is love is love! :-) And I am biased but I think rescues are extra grateful because of their baggage and what they have been through.

Ty will send you the right one. Shelby sent me Jasper - that much I do know. She's a healthy dose of good dog and bat shit crazy (like my angel Shelby).

Hugs!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Yay Lori !! And thank you Sally, getting my hubby on board may not happen, so I am taking your advise and not asking permission, just apologize later (but most likely not).

I do have to say, reading all the posts on this topic has lifted my heart so high!! The overall hope and happiness of new pups in all our lives since losing our most beloved and precious Tripawds surely helps ease some of the pain in my heart......I do hope all of you are starting to feel the same within your hearts as well, and not so much pain anymore.....

Keeping all of you within my heart.....
Much Love,
Bonnie & Angel Polly

Yeah Bonnie, so many of us lost our beloved pups in such a close time frame, and here we all are "looking"..or have already been "sent" the souls our Angels picked out for us...all in a similar time frame.

Hmmmmmm.....I think Claudia and Jersey girl, and Amy and Libby need to pay attention. I kmow when the time is right, Leland will send Sahana his pick!

Sassy and Hyde Pod sent their moms two! Roxy sent Liz a buddy...gosh...the list goes on! And, of course, Jerry sent Wyatt Ray !

I know when I started "just lookingL ever so tentatively, it did lift my spirits some.....I didn't really notice that it did until something didn't work out.....then I felt the "slump".

I personally STILL struggle with 'did I do the right thing' but I know Shelby had her paw in selecting Jasper... I'm just really hard-headed and it's harder for me to see the signs right in front! 🙂

But when Sally points it out that way.... it's true! Our angels are doing their work from the great beyond....

XOXO
