Wow - I can't even come close to all the great advice that you've gotten here (not to mention all the laughs!) But I will say that these women obviously don't know who you are and how supportive you are and how they are the ones that are truly missing out on your compassion, kindness, support and everything else you've brought to this community.  All you can do is feel sorry for these b**ches who have obviously never experienced the kind of love we all have had with our pets.  They should really feel ashamed.  As I always say, what goes around comes around...

You go girl! coolcoolcool

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

Kami, you are wrong..... you said you couldnt come close to all the advice given here , but in fact what you said exceeded and spoke volumes to the truth of the matter. You said it all my friend! And your words speak not only of the support and care shared with us by Elizabeth - but all the people here in this awesome group!

Thank you Kami, Coop's dad, and everyone!

So, I thought about it, saw them yesterday, and asked them to meet me in the afternoon.  I asked how long they have been at this job, 26 and 30 years.

I said I know that because I am leaving next year maybe they think it's all harmless fun and that is great.  I told them about my new "babysitters" for Sammy and asked how they feel about what was going on.  They said "oh yea, we aren't petty, just playing around, blah blah", we only tease people we like",  I said " I can see how you can interpet it like that, or, if under stress, you can see it as a hostile enviornment."  I mentioned that because I have a short time left, I would hate to have to go to HR and deal with all of the stuff relating to that, but I really have nothing to lose.  I said that they must be pretty close to retirement, and how challenging to have something like that mar their last time here, maybe effecting their jobs.

I also mentioned that because they "like" me, they probably should be helping me, not standing in my way.  I said "friends are awesome, right?"  Nobody actually helped me yesterday, but when I went to leave they didn't stand in my way either.  I said, " bye buddies", big smile, and ran out of the building.  wink  We will see what happens, but maybe I planted a seed.

I did get home a little late because of talking with them and my poor Sammy couldn't wait anymore.  He obviously had some intestinal issues because by the door were huge piles waiting for me.  I felt horrible for him, he didn't greet me with any joy, just put his head down and waited by the sliding glass door to be let out.  I am going today to make a key for my neighbor and she will be over this weekend to practice getting him in and out.

I really hope this doesn't backfire, but... I am not out to get anyone, nor do I want to be their target anymore.  Whew, with friends like that..

LOL!  That's terrific Elizabeth!  You took a stand and let your position be known.  I think the way you handled it is commendable.  I'm so glad your neighbor is going to help too.  That will be so good for you, Sammy and Shy.

YAAAAAAAHHHH!!! OMD that was so, so brave! You rock!

I think you handled it with brains and courage and I couldn't have done it better myself. You outsmarted those #@!#'s and made their heads spin. I love it.

I'm sorry about Sammy's accident but he probably forgot as soon as you came home that he pooped in the house, he was so hoppy to see his brave mama.

thanks to my friends,

I suprisingly wasn't nervous, I was tired and just done with it.  Today I stayed home because I had my first dentist appt in quite some time.  I was supposed to have a root canal, but half way through it they discovered I had a pretty bad infection, so I am home with anitbiotics that I have to take every six hours.

I thought I was worn down, now I know the reason!  When I said "bye buddies" there was another word in my mind and I am so glad that wasn't the word that popped outbig-grin

Gosh, I hope that this is the end of things,

Hugs to you, and I gave hugs to all of the furry kids today for you,

Elizabeth

I'm so happy for you and the pups.  It is amazing how much strength we can find when the circumstance is right.

And I'm even more thrilled your neighbor can help out.  You DO rock!

Elizabeth, I really dont think it will backfire, because unlike your immature work mates, you handled it professionally. I am proud of you and so glad you stood up for yourself. So sorry to hear about your tooth, the infection makes it horrible I know - I hope it clears up quickly and you can get it fixed and feeling better! Hug Sammy for us here at Coops pack .

You go girl, my gut says they found out you will stand your ground, and I always say, if you can backup what you say, ain't much fight left in the enemy. Basically, you politely shoved the crow down their throat, and they knew you were right. Right on, girl

My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
