I'm gonna looooooose it !!!!!!!!!!!

I just called our supplier for the CBD infused dog treats and the canadian government has apparently put a halt on the product from entering canada!!!!! It's said that Marijuana is going to be leagal in small amounts for home use shortly here anyway. And there are no psychoactive properties to CBD. The fact is that it is almost solely used as medicine. It seems perfectly fine to supply poision, in country, to heal our sick. Makes me sick !!!!!!!!

Well I got some calls to make and maybe a petition or two. mad

Maybe it's got something to do with the trade war. Trumps slaps a tariff on 2x4s so Canada won't allow American dog treats!

You can buy CBD oil in Canada and make your own dog treats. My sister makes a peanut butter, banana cookie for her dog and I'm sure there are others here with a healthy recipe for you.

Hope you have no problems finding the CBD oil. If so, I may have some suggestions.

I know you must be soooo frustrated!!

To have just had Mya transition and for Macleod to be dealing with this piece of crap disease.....and now this! So sorry you are having to deal with this now too.

Is it possible the Vet you saw Saturday could help figure out a way to get it and then dispense te proper dose, mix, etc?

Paws croysd for some better days ahead! I know you are still missing Mya terribly, even though you know she is running free and healthy now. You sure do have a wwonderful Guadian Angel watching over you.

Hug to all

I would like to add... it's a wee messed up here in California too! While marijuana was voted to be legal in our state ... they haven't figured out how to regulate it yet (aka get $$$ from sales for the state) so unless you get a medical marijuana card, you still can't buy it. CBD oil or the stuff that makes you see pink elephants!

It's a shame since I have heard that CBD oil will be good for Jasper's phobia of fireworks. I do know you can buy it online in the states (I think Paula is doing that for arthritis) but it seems like such a crock of BS that you can't get that - something that will help and yet I have friends who have been prescribed opiates for arthritis. A friend just got a prescription for tramodal!!!!

Off my soap box but it really is quite insane!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Yep, it IS crazy watching the governments trying to figure all this out. Meanwhile, I've been meaning to write about a new vet-approved CBD option:

We will be trying this on Wyatt soon to help with his anxiety. Watch the Tripawds Nutrition blog for details.

I'll be interested to see how Wyatt does. Izzy's furry sister - most commonly referred to here as "that other dog" - is kind of a neurotic AH. Maybe it will help her LOL

Sorry about the struggles with getting the oil, though I must admit it makes me feel a weeeee bit better that the good ole US  of A isn't the only North American country with some silly rules!

Hope you can find a way around it all!!
