Hi tripawd folks!  Guess what we saw in Tanzania....loads of cheetah and other lions!  It was epic!  This one cheetah, in particular, I videoed just for this group.  When I say "No, it's a Jackson", I say that b/c of the identical location to Jackson.

~ Katy & Jackson

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Well, it's not a real Tripawd, but I think we all imagine how much happier it'd be as one!  Although, in the animal kingdom, I don't think a tripawd cheetah would fare well (just as, I don't think this individual will survive that long).

Awww sad and yet a lovely Cheetah. Wno knows, maybe he or she has a mate somewhere who'll bring home the groceries until the leg heals.

It's kinda nice that you chronicled his existence on camera.....validating a life tjat mattered.

Must jave been an INCREDIBLE trip! Do you have more videos or pics to share? We'd love to see moreclap

I have more than 1000!  I have to go through them first, but I'm happy to share.  It was an outstanding trip of a lifetime, made with my parents and husband (we celebrated our 7th year anniversary over there, too).

Welcome home!  Great video and I look forward to seeing more pictures.  How was J when you got home?  Lots of tail wagging and kisses?

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

So many wags, wiggles, and coos.  He was a happy tripawd, almost falling over with his vigorous tail-wags!  Love this fuzzface!

Katy, how did things turn out getting someone to stay with Jackson? I remember this was a rather stressful thing, trying to plan for Jackson's care, and I don't know how it turned out. Must have been just fine because you were greeted with love and slobber!

I'm glad I started hunting for a sitter months ahead of time.  There was a recently graduated student wanting to hang in the area a bit longer.  Of course the chance to live in a more adult home, with private laundry, safe environment, a huge TV, and large couch were perks!  Then we offered pay.  So that sealed the deal.  He was fairly clean, but my plants died.  Oh well, Jackson got superb care for a lot less than a kennel in this area.  I know his pee-problem was well managed and got lots of kind eyes watching him.  It's priceless to come home to a happy, stress-less pup!
