What a difference a day makes. Before my daughter could get out there she was doing zoomies! She was tired by the time she started taking the video. I was scared to death she was going to get hurt... yes that's my husband the goof in shorts out in the cold. This made my day!
Awwww.....so happy for you and Bailey! She looks great, living life and getting that spark back. Great video!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Great news!!!! Every day is a gift! Be sure to look at this video whenever you feel sad - it will definitely make you smile! Like dogs, we all have good days and bad days....Looks like she's feeling pawsome today!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Thanks to all my tripawd friends. Bailey is having a awesome day. She seems back to normal. Let's hope she eats dinner just like her breakfast and I will be happy. I'm so glad to have her back... she even tried to play tug with my 9 year old dane Bella.... Bella doesn't get up to play it's pretty funny. I'm like I don't think she should be doing that.... my husband is like "let her be normal" ... me "I don't want her good leg to break!" HAPPY PAWDAY!
and HAPPY TAILS for continued health for all the tripawd babies!
Much love and HUGS.

YES! We've got great big smiles plastered on our faces here, what joy she is showing!!!
I know what you mean when it comes to being fearful about potential injuries. Our mantra during recovery was: "let him be a dog." Everytime we flinched over a stumble or a daredevil antic, we had to repeat it to ourselves.
Remember there's a fine line between being over-protective and letting her enjoy life. You will gradually learn how to let go just a bit, the more you see her looking this hoppy!

How amazing to see her loving the snow and her time outside! This will definitely be a video to watch over and over again to help you through the rough days! Way to go Bailey! 🙂

I'm with Jerry on this one .... I have seen Shelby take her fair share of tumbles and have gotten better at masking my 'gasps' of fear because when I would do that, Shelby's ears go back, her tail goes between her legs and she thinks she's in trouble! I do worry about shelby breaking her remaining leg ALL the time (she's a rear amp) and when Shelby does her 'dinner/potty' dance - it stresses me out. Shelby used to be a jumper (she's a terrier!!!) so I try and balance the 'be a dog' and being cautious! I am a work in progress with that but I do get it. And admittedly, since Shelby is little, I do carry her up and down the stairs more than I should! 🙂
But glad to hear you're seeing your girl! About 3 weeks ... about when I started to see it too!

Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Thanks to all my supporters... I need each and everyone of you. My husband a few days ago was like... this is why I didn't want to do chemo... but she has made a remarkable turn and is being her old self. She loves it outside... it's just so darn cold out. I will try to upload a video on YouTube... I have never done that lol. But next chemo is 3/20/14.
Bailey is still being picky with her food she didn't eat dinner... but I'm going to give her some yogurt.
HUGS

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
