I checked, his prediction is for 6pm. I have no idea if that is pacific standard time, mountain time, or eastern standard......

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
There was a big article about this crazy Camping guy in the paper here yesterday cuz apparently he is from San Diego. It's supposed to be 6pm Pacific time, so I guess we have a few more hours to wait. They said he is partners w/ some other guy in a Christian radio station/network. They asked the partner what he would be doing today to prepare for the Rapture, and he said he was going to Home Depot.... so... even his own Christian radio partner doesn't believe him I guess... cuz why would you spend your last day on Earth at the Depot? Not really the last stop of choice for most people. (Personally, if I really thought it was the last day I'd be at the Ben & Jerry's store.)
Unless maybe he's just going to buy a lot of wood and supplies and leave it behind for those of us left behind to build, I dunno, forts or an ark or two or whatever we are going to need.
BTW, thank you for the info that dogs DO go to heaven. I had a neighbor who very seriously insisted they would not be there - as if he'd been and knew what he was talking about. Anyway, I'm happy to hear that my angel pups will be there. Of course, if I'll make it to join them is another matter...

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. As I understand it was supposed to start in New Zealand at 6pm local time and then follow around the planet as the day progressed, so it is always happening at 6pm local time. As Codie Rae said it feels like East Oaktown got raptured years ago, so if a new version is coming it might be hard to figure out it had happened. And Camping's radio station is in East Oakland, not far from the airport. Maybe some people need to be able to make a quick getaway? Time to have a glass of wine, relax, and listen to the nightly gunshots. Been a lot of them this week.
Well, you shouldn't believe me over anyone else, we are all just going with our gut and our interpretational abilities. 🙂

We survived it over here in Vegas! Anyone else survive and not just the west coasters?
Thank goodness I didn't consume 12,000 extra calories which is what I'd like to do when I know the end is near!
I guess the book sales of Mr. Harold 'Wrong the 2nd Time' Camping isn't going to do well now.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Holy crap, I've been so busy I forgot about the big bang, but hey, we're still here in northeast Ohio this fine RAINY Sunday morning. Since I love to cruise I was going to build an ark, and since we've been having so much rain, I figured our demise was coming by way of big flood #2, I was going to pick everyone up waving a tripawds flag and we could all cruise the world together, and NO, not that red flag some here seem to have issues with. Well, now that we're still here, I suppose we better start saving our money again so we can all pay our taxes so our blowbellies down in D.C. can keep wasting it. Paws Up to the new world, YA-HOO, we made it again
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
