Gus and Murphy had their annual visit to the vet's office this morning. As we pulled into the parking space, you could just see Murphy's reaction. His ears went up, his tail started wagging and you could almost hear him saying, "Oh good! It's the treat store.". You would think that with all the time he has spent at vets' offices in the last year and a half, he would be trying to get away instead of being excited to go in..

He also made his running stair ascension. For some reason he has absolutely no problem vaulting up the front steps at the office, but he absolutely refuses to go upstairs at home. He did that a couple of times right at the beginning and then decided he didn't want to.

The Tripawds calendar that he gave his vets was hanging in the exam room. We always get a kick out of looking at Mr August. One of the techs didn't realize he was in there, so we got to show him off. One of his vets stuck her head in the door and told us that she had had to do an amputation last week, and after she showed the calendar to the pawrent, it relieved a lot of her anxiety. I reminded her that those owners can always look us up and find lots of valuable information.

The only downside to the visit was that the poop samples for both dogs showed small tapeworms, probably due to ingesting that gourmet delicacy....cat poop. So, pills all round. The cat repellent sprinkler is now set up where the neighbor's cats leave their late night donations.

All in all, a good report. Both of the guys are definite favorites at the vet's office, and they love going there.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Glad to hear that both of your handsome boys had wonderful check ups.....and of course your vet loves them :)

Tucker also enjoys the delicacy that caused the worms in your boys...hence the reason the litter boxes are way down stairs!

Many hugs

Linda and Tucker

Oh neato! Vet visits don't get any better than that (well other than the worms!). Thank you so much for helping to spread the word with the Tripawds Calendar (which anyone can buy at any time of year and start the month then, hint hint!).

It's so neat that Murphy still loves vets. What a doll!
