I know there are other tripawds who work as service dogs. This year Wynd received an award for his work as a therapy dog. He serves on the therapy dog team for military surviving family members, works with veterans with PTSD and substance abuse, and helps kids overcome their fear of dogs. He sounds like a busy guy!
Here is his award video: http://live.euk.....video/3838
I like that his service not his amputation was the focus.
Kerren and Tripawd Kerren

As far as we know, this is only the second time a Tripawd has earned an ACE award. Read Bart's story and watch his video here...

Thanks for letting me know that Bart also received an award. I also saw it on facebook where Darcy said that tripawds can complete in some of the AKC event. I love how tripawds go back to what they know and love after their amputation. Mona is back to sleeping, stretching, getting brushed a lot and bonking Eli on his head!
Although I tend to find laughter and joy in what our pets do and accomplish, I have some sad news today. It was so exciting that Wynd, the Rottie Tripawd, received the 2015 Therapy Dog award on Saturday. Unfortunately he died on Sunday. I share in the sadness his family and those he served must feel.
Kerren
Kerren that is so sad to hear about Wynd, had no idea, thank you for letting us know. How beautiful to know that he and his people had such an amazing ride.
Yes, Tripawds sure do teach us how to get on with life. It's such a great lesson for us silly humans.

Oh gosh Kerren...the award on Saturday...and transitioned on Sunday???? I mever could get the video to load on mh tavlet, but I assume he was looking good at the ceremony.
Guess Wynd hung around @ong enough to make a "statement of inspiration", felt @ike he had completed his earthly mission and headed to the Bridge.
