You might have to turn your volume up but this is just a snippet of what I hear on a daily/nightly basis... seriously hilarious yet soothing and annoying all at the same time. She has NO reason to low-growl *(I know she is letting me know she is uncomfortable w/her situation) and I should be glad she isn't barking. But this usually follows a barking episode for up to 30 minutes after. And I love how her ears flip flop back and forth (as if she is trying to hear better).
I updated her blog yesterday but she's become quite the cuddle pooch and as the nights get warmer here (sorry east coast peeps) I don't "love" sleeping next to an oven.
We did go to the vet Friday for her floppy lip thing and she's got some meds for that. (good times). She also lost a pound and is weighing in at 18. I said she looked bigger and perhaps it was just because she has such a big booty ... our vet was tight-lipped but did agree, Jasper's got some serious junk in the trunk (like her mama)!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I love Jasper's expressions. A talkative dog is a smart dog and she's all brains.
Sorry about the lip thing, I saw your other post. Am glad that the vet has it figured out though.

I always get the creepy giggles when you post these growl sessions of Jasper.....if we only knew what they know, or see or hear what they do, we would probably be running out of our houses/apts screaming in terror, lol !! But I also believe they can see angels, so that is what I chose to be true.
I love all these new pics of her, and I have to say, looking at the beautiful beach and sky, and growing plants, I want to run around growling and screaming! I have just about had my fill of our frigid, snowy, depressive winter this year......so looking forward to warm weather, blooming trees and plants, and NOT have to waste 15 minutes of my life just trying to dress warm in layers, every time I need to take Pearl and Zuzu out. Of course, they absolutely LOVE this bitter, snowy weather, and I have to force them both back into my house!
BTW, the pic of Jasper looking around the tree is hilarious! If she ever catches a squirrel, she will not know what to do with it, those little bundles of energy are quite combative, for sure!

She is just so funny! Got to wonder what is truly going through her mind. Pure entertainment, that is Jasper Lily. She always makes me smile! Hugs, Lori, Ty & the canine trio
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
I've come to my own conclusion that your place is haunted and that Jasper is just an amateur ghost hunter.... lol! It always creeps me out when my dogs bark at nothing or randomly stare at blank places in the house. I guess I've just watched too many horror movies.
And yes, rub it in with your sunny beautiful pictures! (in which Jasper is cute as always of course!) We had a wonderful 32 degrees here with the ground and roads covered in ice today. And its supposed to drop to like 12 degrees tomorrow night lol.

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
Murphy does a low rumble when he gets a belly rub. We say he is "purring".

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Then she must be BRILLIANT! I've never had such a 'chatty' dog ... she has so much to say .... all the time! 
Oh, Kathi, she's got a different sound for her belly rubs... at first i thought it was displeasure since it sounds like a higher pitched moan but she doesn't seem to want me to stop so I guess she loves it.
@ Cassie - LOL .... definitely ghosts! I am with Bonnie... I like to think it is Shelby's spirit visiting (a lot) ... I was told when Shelby passed that she would 'haunt' me and that seems to be the case.
And she will definitely NOT be catching any squirrels ... those little buggers look to be super nasty and that is not a vet bill I am interested in paying. I am pretty sure they are smarter than Jasper and know to stay up in the tree! I hope.

Cannot get enough Jasper Lily! She really keeps you on your toes!!! That Shelby must just be laughing her butt off at all Jasper's "quirks". Of course, that's exactly why she picked her for you!
And that picture of her stalking the squirrel...OMD.....soooooo cute!! That's calendar material right there! We always talk about how cute Jasper is, but that picture of her "humor i ng" y o u by sitting by the plants...very pretty, she's very pretty.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
