David and Rocky (and Baxter now too!)
Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.
He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.
Go Baxter!

I totally concur with Sally! I think you may need to velcro da phone to you until you can get a zoomie shot
No sutures, yay! That means there was not a gaping hole where the tooth came from, bonus! I am so glad he is getting right on back to his gorgeous self
Every time I see those Flying Nun ears my heart melts

Fortunately, it was one of the small teeth on the bottom. The vet said if he had to lose a tooth, it's one of the ones to lose. And I think it's the same tooth Rocky had to have pulled not long after I got him. That's a little bit eerie.
I'll try to get him the next time he zooms around the house. I did get one last weekend of him trying to climb the tree to get that pesky squirrel.

That does not surprise me, lol. Rocky made sure it was just a little tooth❤
Rosie is helping Bo learn how to swim in the big pool without being afraid. He was horrified a week ago.
The bond is never broken ❤❤

As of early this morning, Rocky has been at the Bridge for two years.
I was going to come here and write something, but I don't have any words right now. Maybe later. I miss you buddy.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
(((hugs)))). These days are so bittersweet. Two years at the Bridge is a long time, and then it's not, you know what I mean? It feels like yesterday that you and Rocky joined us. But that is also because your boy's memory lives on here, and will never, ever be forgotten.
Today we celebrate Rocky's life, and all the beauty he gave to us and the world. Thank you sweet angel, you continue to shine a light on the world!

Osteo and amputation in Dec 2015. Second, inoperable, primary osteosarcoma found in June 2017.
The end of our adventures came Dec 10, 2017. 2 years to the day.
Thanks everybody. I appreciate the thoughts.
And Jerry, yes, it's very strange how time works in conjunction with grief. The last few days, it has somehow felt like Rocky was just here in the house with me ... but it's also felt like a lifetime ago since he was last here.

I hear ya David. And if it's any consolation, I have no doubt that Rocky's loving spirit is still by your side wherever you go.

Hey everybody! It's been awhile (again).
Me and my remembering dates ... it was three (an important number!) years ago today that I signed up here. I was too scared to actually post yet; still holding out hope then that Rocky's diagnosis would turn out wrong and we could avoid the whole amputation thing. Of course, it wasn't and we didn't. And I'd be back a few weeks later to create a thread for him.
I still miss him. Every. Single. Day. But I'm thankful I have Baxter now (who is doing great).
I'm also thankful for everyone who helped us get through those scary and difficult times right before and after the surgery three years ago. Time flies, huh?

Happy Tripawdversary David! You went through a gut-wrenching ride, yet you always stepped up to lend a helping hand and emotional support to others. You are family to many of us.
I am so happy to hear that Baxter is doing well.... a picture of him would be nice (hint, hint... heheh)
Sending hugs your way, and ear scratches to your gorgeous boy!
