The dreaded first sign of a limp.  Tried Rimadyl, gaba...only a little better for a day of two.  Then worse6 rapidly  over week-end.  As you know, soooo hard not to think the worse!  Just so sick with worry.

Finally got her in for xrays today and vet didn't  see "anything".  Felt the slightest  "slip" or "click" in leg.  So, for now, going  with a three or four weeks Rimadyl, Gaba, rest......you kmow the drill.  Hoping it can heal, but may be discussing  surgery down the road.  We shall see.  Hoping, hoping, hoping  it heals.

A funny.  So Myrtle 's whacked in the back seat on way home. (had to sedate her). Hada Starvucks coupon so stopped & got a coffee..  Didn't  even bother to ask for Puppacino because  she was in lala land.

Well.......got up to the window and hear her banging  around trying to get her head out the window. Yep, my Bind RockStar whacked out dog knew we were at the Starbuck's  window.  Needless to say, she got her Puppacino.....fell back "asleep" with empty cup in her mouth.  For your viewing pleasure  from a week ago.

And then her close-up.  Looks like the eye surgery  didn't  make the eyes "shrink down" some.  But she's  not in  pain and, to me, is the most beautiful  girl in the world.

Hi Sally!  That Starbucks story made me giggle - what a smart girl Merry Myrtle is!  And that video of her is just the cutest!  Griffin and I are sending hug to both of you and we hope her leg starts to feel better soon!  sp_hearticon2 Stacy

Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com

Sally,

I think the bear is bigger then Myrtle. I do agree she is just beautiful close up, and what a personality! Hope her limp gets better soon. I think are two special angels will make it ok.😁

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Woaaah that must have been like dejavu. Paws crossed that the R&R is the right RX for her. No surgeries Myrtle, got it?! You don't want Frankie to be YOUR nurse now do you?!

Too cute about the drive-thru story. She could SMELL that pupaccino from lala land. Wow dogs are amazing.

And she sure is the most beautiful girl! I love her pretty eyes and facial expressions, it's like she's seeing the entire world all at once.

Let us know how she's doing.

Well of course Myrtle hurt her leg.  It's been, like, 10 minutes since you guys have had a big vet issue so you were due!

Geeze....

I think Myrtle has magic eyes- she might be blind by our definition but she sees things the rest of us can't perceive.

I hope she heals up without any other intervention.  Speaking of due.... you guys are due for a break!!!

Oh dear, Sally...if it's not one thing, its another with these two! Paws crossed a little R 'n R will do the trick - along with the meds of course. Tell Myrtle she really isn't missing out if she doesn't need the surgery her brother had. Sending all the pawsitive vibes the universe can muster - with a little Tripawd Angel Magic thrown in! Hugs

Oh man Sally! Sheesh... you keep this up and you'll be able to perform the procedure by yourself with all the times you have gone through this! Never a dull moment, eh? I really hope with all the hope I have that this was just a simple 'pull' and like everyone else ... just a bit of R&R will get beautiful Myrtle back into shape.

Love the video of her carrying her "baby" that is almost as big as she is! I wondered after her sight was gone if she still liked carrying them around. That was the MOST adorable video!!

I almost spit my coffee out at Jerry's idea of Frankie being Myrtle's nurse!!! Oh lord.. I got a visual of that icon_lol And of course Myrtle, the pupacino queen, knew mama was at Starbucks, hahah! Yum, slurp, snore... too funny.

I am sorry that I caught this so late. We have been working in the yard preparing for the big 'stay at home' summer. Planting flowers, cleaning brush, working the vegetable garden.. blah blah blah...  Going to try to make the yard our oasis seeing we will be spending plenty of time in it icon_rolleyes

Hugs to you and the pups. Fingers, toes, tails, and paws crossed for you and Myrtle. One day at a time, right?

Lots of love,

Jackie and Huck sp_hearticon2

Hugs,
