Ollie has been on vacation in Oregon for the past couple of weeks. Here are several pictures (because I can't just pick one). A couple of videos will follow.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

The latest adventure...riding in the big tow truck
The pickup broke down outside of Eugene OR. Towed back into town. Ollie rode like a champ..he just went to sleep in the back seat. We should be back on the road again soon.

I have SO greatly enjoyed following your amazing vacation on FB. To define pure bliss with a photo is ... OLLIE!!! He's such a great boy!!! And so happy and so loved! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

What a fantastic holiday! For the humans as well as the dog!
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
And one more will be getting here for Sally as soon as I can get it downloaded.

OHHHHHH Ollie! What a grand vacation, it looks like so much fun. And so pretty out there too! The look of total joy on your face says it all.
I'm sorry your truck broke down, that stinks! But hey, nothing better than having a dog by your side to show you what really matters, right? Hope you're back on the road in a jif!

I have to admit, as I was reading your posts and bedore I opened any pictures or videos, I went straight to the one with Ollie having his Puppy Latte on his vacay!!! I looooove his focus!!
And then, and only then, did I go back at look at this family alvum treasure trove of the happiest dog ever...And the happiest human with a fish ever!!! 🙂
To think Ollie could sit so politely and without even drooling in front of all those yummy cookies...UNBELIEVABLE!!
To see Ollie flying like the wind at the pure joy of just being Ollie...running free out in nature, so happy, so joyous!! 🙂 You've really captured the essence of what it means to "be dog"! He is sooooooooo nappy!!! And even while running free and savoring each second, he still came back to Garry when called! There was no hesitation, no detour....just returning happily to the humans who love him...and he loves back!
Okay, so the next Tripawd Pawty will be traveling with Kath and Garry when they take Ollie on vacation again. We can hook our vehicles up to their Vacy Bus and go tour the Oregon Coast. And the best part...we'll go do some touristy stuff and leave our dogs with Kathi and Garry to train!!! YAY! I've already told Merry Myrtle and Franke and they've started packing their doggy suitcases! Myrtle did ask me what the word "training" meant!
Thank you soooooo much for sharing the magic of your trip...And of the very special bond you have with Ollie. Murphy and Gus are soooo tickled with their choice!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. We really did have a wonderful time. This vacation was totally planned for giving Ollie the best time he's ever had. He has worked so very hard since he came to us as Uncontrollable Ollie in June of last year. This year he (and we) were able to enjoy everything to the fullest. If he never went to another training class, we would be thrilled with how he's turned out. He will, however, be continuing classes. He gets to start some of the fun stuff now...agility, tricks, etc.

Dang, you guys were in my neck of the woods. Would love to have run into you. Isn't the Oregon coast wonderful? Ollie is one happy dog and has great parents. Sorry about the rig breaking down but sounds like it didn't phase Ollie. Did he get any tuna?

Where are you, Penny? We go to the coast most summers. Missed last year because Ollie wasn't ready.
He didn't get any of the tuna from the first package. I did it in teriyaki, which was probably too salty. A whole freezer full in the travel trailer came home with us, though.

Oh boy! Now we can go see Penny too when we vo on vacation with Ollie and our dogs' trainers!!
