No dogs or cats were hurt in the making of this film!! And, it's a little "unclear" because I'm filming through a well scratched up and well slobbered on door...

Clearly Myrtle Mae needs and dog as a playmate instead of stoned cats!

When I give Merry Myrtle her treats in front of Baby Stoner and Papa Stoner, they'll reach up with their paws and try and steal a bite....and sweet Myrtle doesn't do a thing other than eat faster! And yes, I will get a video soon!

Are those your kitties or kitties that just 'hang' at your casa? Too cute! I can tell you right now - neither Shelby (or Jasper) would have ever been that kind OR gentle with those cats. No matter how stoned they are! Definitely not Jasper - she lives to 'chase the kitty'... It's really bad. I usually have to pick her sorry booty up and carry her home like a sack of potatoes (kicking and screaming the whole time) when she won't leave the neighbor cats alone.

Myrtle is just so long and lanky/floppy... she's hilarious! I don't know much about this breed but she just seems ultra long ... she's beautiful and I love her long tail! I love doggy tails! Her coloring is so pretty ... What do they call that color? Cinnamon?

Hugs!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

LOL! You bring that "sack of potat" over here....I need a little "culling of the kitty herd"! Just kidding,!

I live in a rural area and get a lot of drip offs! I try to snip, clip and stitch as my funds and time allow...but Stoner...as laid back as he is...has been difficult to get in a crate....or at least at the exact time I could take him for "kitty ball removal" The unfixed females stay pretty well hidden...until they come up to the house and drop their little feral kittens off because they're tired of feedingntheir butts!!! Trust me, this is not by choice that I have all these cats around! All it takes is one unapayed female hiding out and bingo bango. I'm back up to eight breeding machines! (Can you tell I'm frustrated?)

Anyway...Merry Myrtle is about eighty lbs. now at eight months. She has a lot of chunking up and filling out to do! I'm thinking she'll be on the tall...but small size as far as Bull Mastiffs go...we'll see! Clearly she needs more ice cream and cupcakes!!!

Thank you for always calling her pretty...she loves hearingnthat! She's called and "red" with black mask...Hannah is fawn with black mask. They shared the same Great Granddaddy.

Hugs to you

Oh, I did not realize that Myrtle was actually related to Hannah! How cool. Her coloring is beautiful. And after meeting that one at the dog boarder's, I just LOVE the breed. The cat problem, oh I get it. Somehow, if you have anything that resembles a barn on your property, people see that as free reign to drop off. I just took the youngest 4 from my barn a few weeks ago. I know I have snipped at least 15 cats in the last 3 years. That still does not include some of the extra feral ones in the woods I cannot catch. Stoner just cracks me up. Myrtle is so completely unfazed. Lucy and Daryl both like to chase the kitty too. Oooh a doggy playmate......hugs from Lori, Ty and gang

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Looks like a lot of fun for Mrytle. The stoner clan looks like a bunch of tough kitties for sure. I think Jax would have afield day with the cats, I think fur would fly!

I didn't realize Myrtle and Hannah were related either, that is really something special! It looks like Myrtle and Stoner have started quite the bond. I LOVE the look Myrtle gives you when she realizes you are watching hehe. Tanner likes to chase the kitties too, but he's such a chicken that the moment they make one move towards him he shoots like a lightening bolt across the room. I can't believe how big she has gotten too Sally! How big do you think she'll be? She's just one big sweet ball of cuteness!!

Clearly Myrtle is a lover not a fighter!

Tuck is the same with the kitties that he has grown up with - they groom him, snuggle up to him, and particularly love to get in his way while he hops!  He really is so patient with them :)

Myrtle is beautiful inside and out - little Miss Happy Hannah knew what she was doing when she sent her to you.

Many hugs

Such a pretty girl Myrtle is...and what a sassy cat!

Charlie, our English yellow lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in February 2014. He became a tripawd on February 24th, with clear lymph nodes and lungs, but that didn't last long. After three doses of Carbo, in May 2014, x-rays showed lung mets. We briefly tried Palladia, which went well. Unfortunately, Charlie developed unexplained complications in his hind limbs. We said a reluctant farewell on June 11, 2014. Still miss our boy each and every day.

I love it.  Way to go Ms Myrtle.  Sally she definitely really needs a playmate although she does do a good job with the "Stoner kitties".   I feel your frustration with the kitty situation.

Beautiful little girl and I am sure she will have her fill of cupcakes, ice cream and steak :)

Hugs

I didn't know they were genetically related either... very cool. Well she is indeed a pretty one!

I feel your pain on the stray kitties ... my neighbor hoards them (up to 15 at a time) and it's pretty sad. Jasper definitely has a "chase" mentality when it comes to anything small and fluffy that isn't canine so I've seen less cats around our hood. And we've had an increase in coyote activity so that may also be (sadly) doing its part!

Myrtle is SO patient and kind ... I love it!

Bless your heart for catching those that you can and doing the snip / snip! The world is a better place with you, Sally!

Much love,

Alison with the Spirit of Shelby fur-ever in her heart (and little Jasper too)

Oh Sally, Myrtle is gorgeous!  I haven't seen a pic of her since you got her and my how she's grown.  Just beautiful and how wonderful to know she has Hannah's DNA. Hugs to you both.

Amy & Spirit Libby

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Myrtle just get prettier everyday! I'm pretty sure that Stoner had the upper hand in that whole altercation! Size really doesn't matter :-)!

I can certainly see the Hannah gene in her in all ways.

Take care!

Luanne & Spirit Shooter

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

Haha all give dogs here in the Oaktown pack perked up when they  heard Miss Foxy Lady Merry Myrtle barking away! Now, can you please give us some of whatever it is you're giving those cats to make them so mellow? We'd like to put it in the dog's water bowls!

P.S. Kudos to you for trying to spay and neuter the kitties Sally. This might be a dumb question but are there groups in your area who might be able to help?
