While I can understand her confusion ... I am not thrilled I will need to find a new pair of slippers.

In photo #1 - Jasper and her toys (please note the toy in the front that is 'animal print')

In photos #2 & #3 - me and my slippers

For weeks I have gotten home from work and found at least one of my slippers in the living room (they usually live in the back of my closet so not sure how she found them back there). I figured she just wanted to smell something of mine while I was at work. But nope - she thinks they are her toys. When I pulled them out last night when it was a frigid 63 degrees in LA, she got super excited and went a little nutty. She would NOT stop following me and nipping at me feet.

So this I do not love. I'll need new slippers, obviously! And they say dogs don't see colors or patterns! :-)

Oh and Sally had asked me on my blog what Jasper's real bday was that I gave to her. I gave have January 6 as a birthday. I figured when I got her in June if she was  year and half, then January would be a good bday month for her and I picked the 6th as it was a day that I had removed some particularly negative energy from life and started my journey toward recovery from a bad break-up/broken heart and voila ... that seemed like a good day for Jasper to have been born! I look forward to celebrating her 2nd bday in January 2015.

Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

JASPER, JASPER, JASPER! Cannot get enough of Jasoer Lily!!!

Sich a DELIGHTFUL character! And she is quite the clown that really knows how to make us all laugh!clown

Yep, time to get Jasper some animal print toys. Clearly her prey side is coming out. I wouldn't take her to Africa on a Safari anytime soon! She may not find Leopard print to be a willing stuffy!

I love how you pocked her birth date (January..me too) and the great symbolism behind itway-cool

Jasper Lily, you sure do make us smile!laughingbig-grin

LOVE!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Jasper you silly girl!!!  I know mommy's slipper is the same sort of texture as your stuffed toys but it really isn't a toy.

So does she get to keep your slippers since you have to get a new pair??  Lucian stole one of mine out of the closet a couple weeks back and it looked like a bloody massacre.  The slipper apparently helped him lose another baby tooth and there was blood all over it.  So I soaked it in spray and wash and tossed it in the washer.  The darn thing came out looking good as new.

I love the visual of her going after the slippers while you're wearing them.

I had a pair of racoon slippers. They had a head on the feet.  One of my dogs used to grab ahold of hte head & try to pull them off my feet while walking (not Sassy). All the time barking & growling after that I retired them to the closet where they still are LOL

Oh silly Jasper! It's hard not to blame them for chomping down on slippers. Between the feet scent and the squishy, furry texture, it's pure heaven!

She has got to be Lucy's clone! Although my slippers have remained safe. Only because they are a bit more like shoes with just a bit of fur around top. My brand new couch cover not so much. Has a big hole in it. She redds her toys out all over the house. I saw something in a magazine where you cut up pieces of fleece, hid treats inside and stuff into one of those balls that are sort of webbed rubber. They have to be with you though if they eat stuff. I am laughing at all the white stuffing on your floorlaughinglaughingtoo funny! Hugs from, Lori and TY

Well for Sally since you love photos (and aren't on Facebook). Got Jasper some new sweaters at Target (bargain) for our trip to Seattle since it's going to be cold ... 35!!!! BRRRR

And you're right, Lori.... so MUCH fluff - everywhere.... all the time. I cannot get a handle on it. I did get her a rope toy yesterday and she even plowed through that. Those teeth are sharp!!! Oh, Lori, you will appreciate this too. We were walking the other day, 4:30 a.m., low growl from Jasper, I look around, no coyote, cats, squirrels ... I figure she's seeing 'dead people' and then we turn the bend and a corgi - chunky one - starts barking!!! I thought of you!

And last night ... she has yet to 'embrace' this bed (she loves Shelby's old bed which isn't half as nice honestly) so she starts eating / pulling on her nice bed. Like Shelby would do. She pulls it across the room, flips it and boom - sleeping dog! I guess she wanted it in the middle of the room on the other side. Cracks me up. #channelingherinnershelby

OMD!!!!! Yes indeedy....the definition of ADORABLE....TIMES. A GAZILLION!!!!! Every single picture has me grinning ear to ear.....but that bottom one of her snuggling her face in her laws....TOO CUTE!!!!

And then doing her best impersonation of a fashionista....a runway model is born!!!

Little Jasper Lilly could never hace imagined in her wildest wishes for a forever home while she was a little street doggy, that she would end up with her own clothes...her own toys...her own bed (okay..Shelby's bed).....vacztions with her human.....teady daily meals and treats.......and being so loved by her extended Tripawd Family.....and by Shelby's human she na d picked for the task!

We're alwsy talking about how cute she is...and she is... but she's also very pretty. She really looks beautw in all her sweaters. I particularly like the polka dot one. She seems to be very proud and feel very confident in it.

And Alison, you may to take another look at your quote to Lori. (about Lucy)......."...and a corgi – chunky one – starts barking!!! I thought of you!"....tee....hee.....clown

I peraonnly think Lori looks more like a svelte Siberian Husky!!!!winkerway-cool

Jasper is not spoiled at all way-confused!!! And she knows her best side for the camera (which is every side of course).

I think that slippers are automatically toys (at least in this house they end up that way.

Oy! I hope Lori didn't think I was calling her chunky!!!! Hee hee ... Lori is adorable! :-)

I do look at Jasper some days and do think ... did she ever think her life would end up this way? I like to think she's one lucky pooch and I am thankful I have the resources to spoil and pamper her and treat her in the best possible way to live her best life! So many toys just for her! My mom asked why I continue to buy her toys w/fluff and I said, because she loves them. Why would I stop?!?

And funny ... everyone seems to love her polka dots the best!
