So had the scare of my life this morning at 2 am. Jasmine & Snickers woke up barking on my bed. I got up looked around didn't see anything. Decided since they were up to take them out. Who would bother me taking 2 Rotties out right? I got them out front turned around there is a dog staring at me. I think she was lost. She wouldn't come near me. So I got the girls in the house one at a time. Then took some food & water outside and put it in the front yard area. She went in and I closed the gate fast. Waiting to go get her scanned for a microchip at the humane society.

Well, here is the rest of the story this morning.  I got mine dogs out & back in to feed them etc.  Then decided before heading to the humane society I would go to Petsmart to see if  Susie (our dog trainer) knew who the dog was and might belong too.  She walked on a leash well and was polite and loved the car.  Susie didn't know so I told her I was going to check to see if she had a microchip at the humane society she told me they had one there at their store by the cat adoptions.  So I took the dog over there.  No chip.  I decided well before going to turn her in I would try driving the neighborhood.  As I turned onto my road I saw this guy walking from a truck.  I thought maybe he was looking for his dog.  As I continued on I saw him walk to another car so I just kept going as I thought they were going to go for a walk on the path.  Something made me turn around at the next driveway and go back and ask if he was looking for his dog.  He looked at me really funny and said yes.  It ends up the dog's name is Emily.  His kids and their cousins were running in & out of the house and let her out.  She normally only went out on a leash.  She actually got hit by a car (I saw no evidence of that this morning when I checked her over).  He said he was looking in ditches and fell by a storm drain.  He didn't know how he was going to tell his kids that their dog was gone or dead.  He was relieved to get her back.

I told him to please get her microchipped.  So that was my 2 am wake up call

Well you know i am going to say that Sassy was also on duty last night (along with the other girls) protecting little Emily and guiding her to your safe and loving home. She was SO lucky she stumbled into your yard! What a scary thing for a little dog. Actually don't know if she was little but still. That is my WORST fear - worst - with Shelby and now Jasper ... both are HUGE flight risks and Jasper sees a squirrel or cat and she chases as her instinct tells her to do ... She's chipped but if she got hit ... Oy....

Anyways... I hope Emily wasn't seriously injured by being hit and I am glad she's back home with her family! Bless your heart ... you're an angel too!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Wow...that has been an eventful morning for sure!  Like Alison said Emily definitely had Angel Sassy guarding her last night.  Emily is one lucky pup to have found her way to your home in the middle of the night.  Not everyone would take the time to help her find her way home.

You're another one of our earthly angels!

Hugs

Sahana and her Angel Leland and Lucian too
