Sooo, Merry Myrtle watched lots of videos of Jerry carrying sticks and decided to help me gather kindling for Hap o y Hannah's Woodstove.

Shenhad always just gotten sticks off the ground.....until today! I look over and she's trying to jump up and get a branch off a tree!!! (Of course, having been i n this journey, it scared the heck out of me thinking she could hurt her legs! It didn't stop me from filming just once before I made her stop and got the twig for her!)

MERRY MYRTLE THE POGO STICK!

Giving her the prize!

And she gets the prize!: http://youtu.be.....Pmivau5xfs

This is the picture pile of "kindling" she's collected for me! She's very proud of her bounty!

WOW... amazing!!!! What a perfect dog playground!?!? Shelby would have LOVED your yard! Jasper, of course, would be scared of it (kidding - she is getting better).

I get it - the jumping stresses me out too but she looks very strong! She is so lanky and bit less floppy!!!! Bet she's a good runner.

Loved the video bomb of 'stoner'...

Hugs! Looks like perfect fall weather... oh how i envy that.

Much love,

Alison with the Spirit of Shelby fur-ever in her heart (and little Jasper too)

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

omg!  Myrtle!  are you practicing being a kitty with that jumping!? You can jump higher than Jack or Jill!! (who's kidding who...doesn't take much to jump higher than Jack....)

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Great videos!  Merry Myrtle is such a cutie - congrats !  and they do love sticks, don't they?  they only problem is when they come into the house and chew them up on the floor.

I love it.  She looks like a jumping bean LOL.  Way to help gathering stick Myrtle but don't steal the fire wood you will need that to keep warm with that wood stove little girl.  I love it Sally.  Is it getting cold there yet??  Freezing here and have had about 1/2 inch of snow expecting a little more.

Oh my, Myrtle!  Pretty soon you will be bringing home the entire tree for your Mom to cut up for firewood.  Such fun to see these videos.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Haw! Haw! Just had a chance to watch these. Spirit Jerry is proud of her, she's a great wood gatherer!

Boy she's really stretched out, she looks so long and lean.

I was finally able to view the videos of Merry Myrtle and I'm totally laughing over here and know exactly what you're going through.  Lucian loves wood too...he must have been a beaver in another life...winker

Now he hasn't gotten to the point of actually picking up pieces of split firewood but he LOVES grabbing chunks of bark that falls off while we're splitting wood.  I have found so many pieces of bark scattered throughout the yard it's ridiculous.  And now that he knows where we keep the wood (in an old trailer) he runs in there and scrounges up pieces.  Heck he was outside in the wee hours of the morning with hubby for a potty break and he disappeared into the trailer and came running back with a piece of bark.  He brought it into the bedroom and proceeded to chew it and make a mess...hubby was not a happy camper at that point because of having a mess to clean up...mad

I just got out the vacuum the next morning and got up the rest of it.

These pups sure can drive one crazy but they're silly as all get out!!

MM- you don't have to jump for those little sticks, take the big ones off the pile!  Added bonus- you get Mom's attention.

Miss Myrtle is awfully adorable.  I had a lab growing up that would steal logs off the firewood pile to play with.  Always made me laugh (not by Dad so much).  Thanks for showing us her happy antics.

Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury.  Her amp was on 10/1/12.  She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera.  We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
