I know it's been a while since I've posted any of Lucian's antics. That's because he'd been doing pretty well and wasn't tearing up anything major. Well that ended today...
My husband and I like to say Lucian has 2 personalities. There's the good Lucian who is fun loving, rambunctious, and full of funny antics. Then there's A$$hole who likes to make an appearance from time to time. We'd prefer that A$$hole not stop by the house to visit Lucian because "he" tends to get Lucian into piles of trouble.
So I get a call from hubby this afternoon to inform me that A$$hole decided to tear up the tail on his mounted fox. Hubby is a hunter and can do taxidermy work so we have several mounts in the home office. We've been allowing Lucian more run of the house while we're out...he LOVES laying on the landing in the office and watching out the window. So Lucian has never really messed with hubby's mounts that are on the floor (fox, turkey, bear, and full mount deer) aside from sniffing them when he was a young pup. I have no idea what possessed Lucian to tear out the hairs on the fox's tail other than A$$hole took over.
So after that hubby closed the doors so Lucian couldn't get out into the office. I guess this ticked A$$hole off so "he" decided to rip a major hole in the couch cushion. There is no fixing this mess like we've done with the skirting that Lucian has chewed on. So I get the privilege of coming home to a pi$$ed off hubby cleaning up cushion foam in the living room and Lucian raising holy heck because he's locked in the crate. I guess since A$$hole takes over Lucian's body he was probably confused on why he was now locked in the crate. So I get the bright idea to take a can of pepper spray outside and spray the cushion where A$$hole ate it. My idiot self breathed in the pepper spray so my nose and throat are now burning (thank goodness I didn't get it in my eyes....that's a lot worse). So I'm downing milk trying to ease my throat till it passes. I put the cushion back on and Lucian gets a whiff and I don't think he liked it much since his nose started dripping and he kept sticking his tongue out. Maybe you and A$$hole will learn to stop eating the furniture...
So I was hoping that hubby and I could get new living room furniture as a Christmas present this year. Well that ain't happening now. And according to hubby Lucian is on lock down in his crate till he's 20 years old. Ok hubby I'll believe that when I see it...

This is the best comic relief I've had in a looooong time! The thought bubbles in that boy's head must have been hilarious!! Catching that Fox by his tail mist have made him feel so proud!! Sahana, as far as the chair cushion, maybe he was making sure it was destroyed so you could definitely get some new furniture this Christmas...maybe???
Lucian, 20 years in a crate is a really, really long time in doggy years!! You better use every ounce of cuteness you have (and you have a lot) and start making amends fast!! Now don't get me wrong, we all know it wasn't you....it was the A$$hole who stops by to visit every now and then. But somehow I think your humans are blaming you anyway!
OMD!! LMAO...the pepper spray! Talk about adding insult to injury!! Make your hubby share some of that cookie he and Lucian are javing...milk amd cookies..YUMMY!!
When you look at those magnificent pictures of SWEET LUCIAN, there is no way you can stay mad...no way! Well, at the very least maybe hubby will let him out of the cage for early parole after ten years! His pictures really are beautiful. He's such a handsome boy.

Although I did chuckle we had some antics today too nothing like this but a bracelet that my niece or nephew left laying around got chewed up when we went to pick them up for the night. Glad it wasn't the couch or I would be banished too LOL.
I agree maybe A$$hole wanted you to get your furniture sooner than later. Although that pepper spray fiasco could have ended up not so good for you

Hee hee... I am laughing here ... I have visions of the devil and the angel sitting on Lucian's shoulders ... both telling him what to do and the devil always winning!
I can totally empathize - God knows Shelby was a HOLY terror until she was about 8!!! Jasper does make bad choices but most of the time, she feels intense guilt about them.
He really is quite regal and handsome ... I am sure he does feel remorse ... but wow... that poor tail. However, if I had a stuffed squirrel in this house - Jasper would demolish that thing for sure.
Thank you for making us ALL laugh... we all surely needed it!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

As someone who has one of these, ahem, unique, personalities in our pack, who is now six years old and a little mellower, all I can say is, some day you'll look back and laugh. Really!

WHY...can A$$hole not find someone else to play with other than Lucian?!?!?!?!? So aside from being on lockdown in the crate when hubby and I are away from the house Lucian is no longer allowed out in the office to lay in his favorite spot on the landing. Yesterday evening while hubby and I were in the house A$$hole showed up and went and ripped more hair off the fox's tail. Hubby finds it when he was walking out the door then proceeds to ask me "when did Lucian do this?!?!?" I don't freakin know I was in the kitchen.
So this morning the office door is shut so he's unable to lay on the landing like he normally does while I'm getting ready. So I come out of the bedroom after getting ready for work to find A$$hole standing on top of the chair in the living room ripping foam out of the ottoman...
!! So now on top of getting me fed, Lucian fed, Lucian's vitamins and Claritin, crate ready, and coffee made I have to clean up freaking foam and vacuum!!! I told Lucian "your life is going to suck being shut in that crate all day. And I'm not leaving a TV on for you so you have something to listen to. You can sit all day in a silent house and think about how bad your life sucks right now in the black crate."
So I've had to deal with hubby's grumbling attitude for 2 days now and I'm sure when he sees the ottoman it's not going to get any better any time soon.
Thankfully I have to head to Charleston, WV next week for a work conference. The 5+ hour drive to get there is going to suck but at least I'll get a break from hubby's foul demeanor and A$$hole's appearances...
! It will definitely be interesting how Lucian and hubby will do without me around. Maybe I'll actually get to sleep through an entire night. I was up at 2:45am this morning because Lucian got "butt juice" in the bed so I had to tear all the sheets off and remake the bed to get rid of the smell. I had to throw a pillow away because that foul smell was now in a pillow. And once the bed was back together we went outside where he walked around for what seemed like forever till he found the perfect spot to poop and pee in the wee hours of the morning.

Oh Sahana! LMAO!! OMD! Butt juice?? Frankie has a bit of that FOUL anal stuff every now and then and it is THE worse smelling stuff ever!!
Okay, time for solutions! We have ro move hubby and the fox ro the garage! If Lucian doesn't get his landing back he's going to continue to tear up things! Also, see if you can get your work conference extended for an additional two weeks. You need a break!
And the best solution of all...Lucian needs a playmate! Seriously, it's time to adopt a pal for him to rumble with! Just throwing it out there! Chexk out the tripawd rescue page.

Do I even want to know what "butt juice" is?!? I should be happy that Jasper has no butt juice in our bed! In fact, Jasper has no gas - which I think is SOOOO odd. She had her first 'fart', I think, a couple days ago. There was a little toot and she sat up, looked at her bum, looked at me and then put her head back down. Shelby was the master tooter so maybe it's something that comes with age. At least it didn't scare Jasper! LOL
But nope .. you can keep A$$hole!!!! We've got enough to deal with out here! LOL
I feel your pain but enjoy your time away ... kids.... if it's not one thing, it's another!
