Yep, I agree Frankie is settling in.  I love the pictures under the tree.  The video is so awesome.  How did you keep Myrtle off your lap while Frankie was there?   I am so glad you posted these.

Hugs & lots of love

THANKS MICHELLE!!! The pocture below will show you "how" I kept Myrtle off the chair!

As you know all too well, if one dog his getting your attention, so WILL the other one! I think there's still a little thought bubble rolling aroundnin Merry Myrtle's head saying..."Okay, can he just come visit on week ends?" She's real l y being a wonderfully gracious soul about welcoming Frankie Lee (still tryingnout names) into our home.

I think you need another Big Barker Bed .  Poor Merry Myrtle still doesn't have a place to sleep LOL.  Can't believe she has to sleep on the floor and Frankie is hogging the bed LOL.  Of course Jazz is hogging the bed & Snickers is on the floor too

Hugs

Tani was soooo disappointed when she woke up the day after I brought Obie home and he was still there!!

Frankie looks like he has always lived there!

How do they sleep with their heads hanging down?  Obie does that too.

Shelby used to sleep like that ... so odd!!!

What is a "barker bed"? Jasper doesn't need a new bed but ...

and no, sadly, no space or permission from the landlord for a sibling for Jasper! If I had a yard, I would in a heart beat! Jasper has some BFFs that she spends mucho time with so I think she's getting the best of both worlds ... even if it means my carting her from place to place!

Love these photos!

You all scored, Sally, this is so wonderful to see! Not every match is love at first sight, or even friends at first sight, but you and Hannah and Myrtle have this magic that made it happen. Beautiful!

P.S. I love how you kept Christmas going so Frankie could have one :)

It's better to hop on three legs than to limp on four.™

KAREN! We havent had Tani and Obie pics for awhile...HINT!!!!

JERRY! As Im sure you can tell, I REALLY work on some of the Cesar Style energy...calm, assertive and visualizing a smooth introduction, etc. I know it's hard to believe, but I actually do two "training things" pretty consistently (again Cesar)...I go inside first and I also "control" the food...the rest of the time...nah...they pretty much do what they want when they want...spoiled rotten dogs! Now, keeping in mind Ive never had a GSD, I've been most fortunate that all my dogs become friends.or at least tolerate each other! Coming into a home where dogs already feel loved and secure is an energy that helps tremendously in the blending of pack.

And yeah, having Happy Hannah as our Guardian is the magic that makes it all happen!!

ALISON! You really do have a great set up for Jasper Lily with the doggy care and playtime with friends! That really is ideal for your environment!

As far as The Big Barker Bed , I CANNOT say enough good things about this bed!!!! I've had Happy Hannah's bed two hears now and it has kept it's shape and density superbly!!! I really call it the Tempurpedic of the dog beds! In the past, they've made it just for larger dogs, but this year they've introduced one for smsller dogs. I firmly believe it helped my Happy Hannah stay free of any joint issues, any arthritic conditions, etc. It is firm enough for a tripawd to stand up ineasily with secure footing and yet comfy for the body! It IS an investment...but well worth it!! I really cannot imagine ever having to replace this bed...it is that sturdy! Use AMAZON SMILE link here!

GEEZ.....while Im rambling.....just got Frankie Lee home from his vet check up. Vet could not find any indication of pins, damaged bones or anything like that. Still know clue why he had amputation. Said he had a really well developed shoulder muscle in his front leg. Thought he was closer to one year than to two. Said his goofy vlood shot eyes (my term, not his) were due to pigment...hmmm....what did he say...pigment of inner lid....doesn't matter anyway...he said it wasnt a problem. I did have him do blood work-up and will get results tomorrow.

And I'm going to have his vocal chords cut.way-cool

JUST KIDDING!!!!! I'M KIDDING!!!!!clap This dog CANNOT carry a tune!!!! A beautiful melodious hound sound....not! He would get kicked off American Hound Idol in a heartbeat! Off key...pitchy..can't hit the high notes without squealing.....OMD...the sounds this hound makes ate not of this earth! But it's still beautiful music to me!!clap

Hmmmm...... .maybe Frankie Avalon...Frankie Valle...Frankie Sinatra....or Little "Richard" (that's a reference to a previous post about his ...lipstick...little red rocket...package...)

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
