Got a call from the rescue today. I have basically been approved! She said that she did not know who he was waiting for until today. Not only that, but they are going to try to actually bring him to me. That way I don't have to pack up my 2 and drive 2 and 1/2 hours and then drive back with 3. I may actually get him delivered on Saturday. I am so excited! I sent in the app and decided what ever happens, happens. She said that she was like oh my gosh, this lady has actually had a 3 legged dog before. Sooooooo, we will see what this weekend brings. I may have some pictures

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
YAY! So happy you were approved and your new family member is on the way in just a few days. And yes we definitely need lots of pictures!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
EXCITEMENT is a great emotion to have when getting this call. It means it IS right and what Ty would have wanted!!! I knew Ty would send you someone special. I just knew it!!!
And of course you were approved ... I doubt anyone would turn down an application when someone has already had a three-legged dog! I am pretty sure when I put on Jasper's application ALL that I went through w/Shelby they were like, yeah, this is a good home for this little dog.
I cannot WAIT to see photos ... more details...updates, and photos!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

What fabulous news....of course you were approved.....Darryl was just granted the most perfect home and we all know that Ty definitely had a hand in this.
Looking forward to pictures and hearing about how Darryl fits in with his new fur siblings Lucy and Chandler.

Congratulations, Daryl couldn't have found a better home although I have to admit I was rooting for Hank to show up again. Ha, Sally, rehome hubby. I bet Ty will leave a sign he approves.

if anyone is interested in a dog with a special need, check them out. It is called dogs with disabilities. Some are hearing or vision impaired etc. they have wheelchair
dogs also, but they are permanent residents there. Poor Daryl was walking on the knee of his bad leg when he was rescued. Now he is hopping happily on 3. Lori and Ty
