Okay...movie night...you can take your dogs to the movies in California????? You gotta' 'splain that one!

For you Sally! We have these outdoor movie nights during the summer sponsored by "Eat, See, Hear" and they have food trucks and are all pet friendly. Sometimes they have rescue dogs out from NKLA (no kill LA part of Best Friends Sanctuary) for cuddles. Tonight was "Sixteen Candles" and I brought Jasper to meet my friends and her new LA family.

She did GREAT - I brought her babies and thunder shirt and thank GOD ... there was a live band BEFORE the movie and she flipped out. Honestly, I hate the music too. Too loud. Those ears! But by the end of the movies, she was snuggling in either my arms or my friend's husband ...SO proud of her! So proud.

Here are some photos ...

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

If you want to get the face on camera, you can try video taping yourself walking in and then screenshot his face.

and awwww Jasper looks so happy at the movies (more so in the second one). And that picture of her with her new babies is priceless!!

Smore is my tripawd kitty who adopted me one summer evening. She had an injury to her front left leg and had to have her leg removed July 17th. She was only 3 or 4 months old at the time. Now she moves faster than some four legged cats!

after sharing (using) Shelby's bed for the first few weeks she was with me, I finally got her her own bed. Now of course, she thought it was a BIG giant toy and tried to play/eat it and preferred Shelby's old ratty bed. I still kept Shelby's special bed in a special place (my car) because I am not ready to cut the cord on that yet but the other brown bed, Jasper took to it right away so I figured it didn't hurt. And that it smelled like love probably made her feel safe.

This was her reaction when I brought the new bed home:

And then last night ... she finally realized her new bed is 100% hers and it is probably the first bed she's ever had that is her very own.

Oh, Jasper Lily, you are finally safe here ... safe and sound and snoozy time ...
