Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
That's adorable!!! I loved watching Frankie and Myrtle running and playing together. That Frankie sure can go on 3 legs!
And listening to his vocalization just makes me smile...he's definitely one happy fella!!!

WOW.... what a playground for them! Jasper is definitely jealous (however, if that wasn't fully fenced in, she would be gone lickety split)....
I won't let her listen to the 'howling' ....as much as I love her 'low-growls'.... I am not sure I want to introduce any other sounds to her vocabulary. The big dog barks she has are enough! LOL
He is FAST on those legs ... seriously ... no clue he's only got three. It's so impressive!
I love that they play together so nice! What a happy pack!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

That howl is something else lol. He is so happy having a home and a playmate and Myrtle is loving it too.

Ok...techie question...obviously you all could hear it...but my sound won't play. YES...I know your first thought...turn up the volume! It is! It plays on my gallery...it plays on my you tube upload....but it doesn't play here.
Actually I've noticed that ro be the case when Inplay other videos on here recently, but I thought it was something to do with the settings in "their" end. Don't know why it started doing this recently...itsw a t ablet...and its me using the tablet...soooooo not sure what I've done to cause it. Clues?

He looks soooooo happy! And sure sounds that way too. He woke up Wyatt from a deep sleep, what a gorgeous singing voice!

All this Hucklberry Hound talk has me smiling and reminiscing. I Loved Huckleberry hound as a kid. Even had a plastic plate with him that I ate off of. I have a stuffed one in my cedar chest. My maiden name was Hockenberry. When my Dad was young, he got the nickname Hucklberry, which became shortened to Huck. A lot of people still call him that. So I think I vote for Huckleberry/ Huck. BTW, love the singing!
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
