Today is a very sad day for Marcos and Alvaro, Eurydice's breeders and for myself.
It is with a very heavy heart that I say Eurydice's father, Elixir d'Amour earned his XXL silver wings today.
Elixir d'Amour was an exceptional dog, had two cruciate ligament surgeries when he was very young and was given a very poor prognosis but he enjoyed life to the full for over nine years instead.
This goes to show prognostics are worth what they are worth and one should never give up on our babies.
He was very frail recently and the wintery weather did not help.
He was taking cortisone and other medication and was loved beyond words but overnight he became completely paralysed so time had come for him to join Angel Capriccio, Eurydice's Mom and Angel Eurydice.
He is happy now with all of our Angels, it is time for us who were left behind to mourn and miss his loving, cheerful, goofy presence but we have to take comfort in knowing he is happy now, very, very happy as he flies from cloud to cloud with Angel Eurydice on the lead.
Run free sweet Elixir you will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting you 🐮💫✨🌟🌹

We are deeply sorry Marcos, Alvaro and Teresa, a sad day indeed. Elixir was such a handsome, stunning dog. Clearly loved beyond words and such a treasured part of all of your lives.
I can see him now with his family, soaring through the heavens and watching after all those he loved. He is free, he is eternal.
Our deepest condolences to your pack.

What a lovely family Elixir has. There is nothing more stately and striking than a Great Dane. So very sorry to hear of this loss--he was so clearly cherished. Many hugs to his family, and wishes for comfort at this very difficult time.
Fallon 8/28/06--9/6/18. My Heart.

Thanks for letting us know Teresa. To you, to Marcos and to Alvaro, we extend our heartfelt condolences.
Such a beautiful family of human Souls and magnificent dog Souls. Through Eurydice (and Baby Palmoro too), we had the privilege of meeting this stunning handsome boy. So magnificent, so very, very magnificent!
I can only imagine the joy as Eloxir got closer and closer to the Bridge and realized Eurydice and Capri were there to greet him! Oh my goodness, the woofs of glee were so loud the Angels had to wear ear plugs!
Surrounding you with all the many happy memories Elixir shared with all❤
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
So very sorry, Theresa, Marcos and Alvaro, you had to bid a fond and loving farewell to Elixir. He was, as Sally said above, truly magnificent. And named for one of my favorite operas. (Also quite fond of Orpheo ed Eurydice, though).
Fly free, beautiful boy. Much loved, deeply missed.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
Oh my, I missed this somehow. I am so very sorry. Sending big hugs and comfort to all of you. I know Eurydice is helping her papa learn how to use his new and beautiful XXL wings now, and I know all of you will miss him here on earth. Such an amazing family, their love knows no boundaries for their furbabies. So very sorry for your loss.
Big hugs to all of you 🕊💖🐾🐮🐾💖🕊
