Saturday morning I started cleaning (literally throwing out half of the stuff in my house). I was in my closet with my iTunes on shuffle. The song "I will remember you" by Sarah Mclachlan had just come on (its the song I created the Tripawds tribute to). I took down a shoe box from the top shelf, and inside one of the shoes was a penny. Talk about losing it.
This was the first penny I have found since my Jake passed away 9 months ago. I kept seeing everyone's posts on finding pennies, and just the other day I was talking to my Jake asking why he hadn't sent me any pennies so I knew he made it to heaven ok. I guess he'd been playing with his Tripawd buddies so much he didn't even realize he hadn't sent me one 
He was always kinda aloof like that.

OMG it was the song I did Happy Hannah's tribute to! Ohhh thank you Happy Hannah for making sure my Jake stopped playing and eating steak for just a moment to send his mama a penny

This is so heartwarming and cool!! How wonderful that Jake remembered his mama!! I think they remember and are alway there, but dogs will be dogs, and just like kids, their attention span is everywhere, and they assume we know they are always with us. I remember how I felt the first time I found a dime after Polly passed, that was Polly's and my thing....
Jake is ALWAYS with you.....

Yay! A penny! I think this is probably the beginning a a regular thing. To find it at the exact time as the song, it was most definately Jake. I think that Hannah is keeping everyone so well fed at the Bridge that it is hard to move they are so full. She is in charge of the ice cream scoop. Hugs from, Lori and TY
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Ohhhhh. yeah....I new EXACTLY which video that song went too....and that does indeed validate that penny from Jake!
I love the visual Lori! I bet they are all just as fat and happy as can be because junk food is tthe Nectar of the goDs in heaven!! And ice cream is definitely considered nutritional!!
Sweet Elizabeth, I just love how Jake did this...and I'm so happy for you! It really, really was from Jake! Jake and Happy Hannah zapped that song right through to your itunes so you would REALLY get the message!!

I will be doing the same thing and maybe I will get it together to clean. Right now I have no refrigerator or dishwasher... we were going to go today but just didn't feel like it... Bella our 10 year old Dane needs us more.
Love the penny from heaven and the song "I will Remember You" tear jerker but I love that song.

I had to dig my winter coat out yesterday to go to a bon fire /birthday party. stuck my hand in the pocket and there was a penny in there. I know who that was from I left it there but will be taking it to add to the rest of them.

I understand the "too busy playing to stop and say hi" There is just soooo much to do up there.. and they are soooo busy running fast, catching balls in the air from that endless ball throwing machine... and eating steaks, pig ears, chocolate and ice cream!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
