Jerry things are going well. But I definitely want to track her progress with all of you. Stairs is daunting.... havent let her put of the room she has been in and she doesmt seem intersted either in venturing out. I know its going to take time
I am back at work also. She has been doing well day 1 of not being around me for 4 hour stretches. Its nerve racking. She also sees me and screams a "Hey! whatbthebhell ". and then is ok when i go in and sit with her.
How is she doing walking around? Is she getting steadier on flat ground?
This is all new for her too, and once she gets used to thre new routine i think she'll be fine.
Sounds like she's doing pretty awesome, i am thrilled for you!

Jackie and Huck❤

I'm so very happy to hear how well Pittens is doing. I must say that I'm not surprised, though, as she is clearly just as strong as her mama!
Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com
Sich a cute picture of Pittens. Quite the RockStar around here...as is her hooman♥️
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Hi Everyone,
Pittens is doing well. Her incision has scabs and I sent a photo to AMC as requested and they want me to send another this Sunday to let me know she can get back to normal routines.
When she walks I feel her right front leg bends. Like a twig bending too much into almost a "u" . Its not that extreme but It is noticeable.
I know this is a gaining strength thing. She has thin tiny legs also.
Any suggestions would be so appreciated.
What a joy to know that she's all cleared from the vet! PAWESOME! YOU DID IT!!! What a long road you've both traveled, be proud of yourself for conquering your fear and following your heart. She is amazing and so are you!
As for her front leg, that's a pretty typical stance for a front-leg Tripawd. Keeping her weight down and having a rehab therapist assess her mobility and strength would benefit her, and possibly figure out if the bowing is normal or not. Can you take a photo and share with us so we can see it?

I am thrilled that she is doing so well❤❤❤
You guys have totally rocked this journey!
I agree with Jerry, especially with her age, a rehab specialist would be very helpful in core strength and learning her new balance.
A picture would be SO helpful! Huck is a rear amp and they have a bit of a different "hop" too! It will be very helpful for you to learn and know what her new normals are 😻🐾💝
