I just found this thread and have to say Opal is absolutely GORGEOUS 🧡😸🧡

One day (when I'm not traveling as much) I want a Maine Coon in my life 😻

I had six cats since I was in my twenties, but I understand Maine Coons are pretty special plus they love to chat 😺 which I find adorable.

Lovely update 💝

Sending you hugs and cuddles 😻😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Maine Coons are pretty special! They are the dogs of the cat world. She is super loyal, waits for me every nite after work and then chats with me for a few minutes about life. She has become even more vocal since losing the leg, she chirps and meows the day away. Its like she has a sensor in her, you walk past and she can't help but make a noise. I would definitely recommend the breed.

Sweet Opal is a beauty. She has similar colouring to my Mona who turns more brown from the sun. Here's Mona on her manicure bed:

As a front leg amputee Mona has lots of chairs and boxes she uses to climb down from high places so she doesn't have to jump down. Some people have put out a set of stairs for their cats.

It's cute that Opal likes your neighbour's yard. I'm sure she appreciates that you've made easy access for her.

Hugs for Opal,

Kerren and Tripawd Kitty Mona

Aww they are very similar. Mona is a beauty! I tried a step for Opal off the shoe box outside but she just wouldn't use it, I tried to train her through her stomach but it didn't stick.

They are just gorgeous!  I learned a lot about Maine Coon kitties from my son over the last year. He rescued an orange maine coon kitty last year. I had no idea they came in so many colors!!  His kitty is one of the most laid back that I have ever met. I swear you could hang him over your shoulder and he would just lay there like a ragdoll, lol.

Hope all is going well, have you tried a bit of cat nip on the stair (box)? Maybe that would get her attention?

heartheart

Hugs,

Jackie, Bo, Andy, Oscar, Phoebe, and the coolest feral tripawd kitty Huckleberry

YOU MADE THE BEST DECISION EVER.

Congratulations.

The early days are a challenge but your baby is going to show you just how grateful she is that you gave her this chance.

Thank you for having the courage.

I wish you and Opal many years of hopping together....
