Picked up Frankenstein from the surgery he’s been sleeping most of the time they said he pooped right after surgery so could be a few days before he does again he’s pretty mobile so he goes to the litter on his own prolly going to give him 1/4 unflavored Metamucil tomorrow will be day 4 no poops that we no of he’s been eating and drinking good doesn’t seem to be in any pain they have him a three day pain shot and gabapentin0.75 mls every 8 hours for 10 days robenacoxib 6 mg tablet 1 by mouth once a day for 5 days and cefovecin sodium 80mg/ml injectable that was administered by the vet that should last 14days.
Awww so glad he's home! Sounds like excellent pain control! We just wrote about a new study with the 3-day injectible drug he received. It's good stuff!
The best recoveries start with great pain control so you've got that under control. Keep the Feline Grimace Scale in mind though, just in case he needs the medications adjusted. Make sure he's hydrated and rested and he should be on the way to a smooth recovery!
Sorry your picture didn't show up. This is how adding images to the Forums works.
- Upload pics to a photo sharing site like imgur.com or your own Tripawds blog (https://tripawd.....#supporter). Pictures and video have to be hosted (live) somewhere other than in the forums.
- Once the photo is uploaded somewhere, right click and copy the Image URL or just copy the image if you’re on a phone
- Return to your Tripawds Forum post and paste the image URL (or the image itself) in your post. It should automatically appear.
If you’d like help figuring out the process let me know.

Glad he's home. And kudos to your Vet for being on top of pain management .
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
On Day 4 it's not unusual for no poop to happen. If your vet is OK with the softener that should help. It's a pawsitive sign that the eating and drinking is taking place! How's energy level and alertness?

Well that's great, his mobility is really improving! Remember not to let him overdo it, he still needs lots of rest for a good recovery.

https://www.ins.....cuxqtyri8p Day 7 Frankenstein is doing so good I can’t believe what a good boy he is staying nice and calm eating, drinking and using the litter I can’t thank this forum enough for getting me prepared for this aswell as the team that made room in their full schedule at the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan in Flint
Wow, he's almost completely healed up and looking so good! That sparkle in his eye says it all: look out world, I'm back!
We are honored that we could be there for you two. It's a joy watching him find his new normal. Thank you 🙂
