Hey all you fabulous Tripawd felines, we are seeking your input about what you'd like to see in Tripawd Discussion Forums.
We are aware of the difficulty in finding cat-centric information in our forums. Unfortunately, right now searching for "Cat" is logistically impossible for many reasons. That's a geeked-out discussion that Admin Guy can tell you more about if you're interested.
We understand how much you want cat-centric information/forum search results. But one issue that's prevented us from creating a new forum just for cats, is that there's a lot of overlap between Tripawd dog and cats' life on three legs. As Admins we always do our best to keep Forums as streamlined as possible to avoid information overload, cumbersome search results and heavy demand on our servers.
But as more TriCats join us, we know this is a challenge that needs to be addressed. Therefore, we would love feline members (or anyone owned by cats who wants to help) to assist us in creating a Forum area to address cat members needs, while still minimizing duplication of information among Tripawd dogs and cats. Does that make sense?
So let's get this convo happening. When you have a minute feline folks, please let us know things like:
- When you come here looking for information about Tripawd cats, what kinds of topics are you looking for?
- What are your biggest areas of concerns as a Tripawd cat slave?
- What else would you like to see in a Cats Forum area?
Please be as specific as possible. Thanks a bunch.

Something that might help are some forum headings specific to cats regarding medication, food, supplements, rehab, and other issues where cats respond differently than dogs. That way it would be easier to find.
For example, cats metabolize medications differently than dogs and that some medications that are safe for dogs are toxic for cats. I suspect this would be the same for some supplements and herbs.
Cats respond differently to pain (I think dogs whine more, cat owners just drink wine)
What does rehab look like for a cat? Well, this is what Mona would look like on a treadmill:
Mind you, Mona loved her chiropractic treatment where I learned how to get her to keep stretching by playing.
That's all I have for now but will let you know if I think of anything else.
Kerren
Thanks Kerren, that is super helpful!
Keep those recommendations & ideas coming folks.

Glad it got bumped up again!
Had missed that hilarious video Kerren posted, as well has her great distinction that dogs whine, and cat owners frink wine!
Sorry we have so many cats nere, but glad we now have such great resources for them and an easy way to find them.
Thanks!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Whoo woo. I am glad the kitties have someplace to help them look up and post topics that are specific to them. They won't get buried this way. Thank you Admin guy 🙂

I love that we have a kitty forum! Sophia, Princess and Enzo also approve.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.  Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma. Â
Wherever they are, they are together.
That video is amazing.Â
I like this idea. I think just having a place to ask cat-specific questions or bring up cat-specific things will be helpful. Mona pretty much covered the specifics I can think of...
Unless moving cat stories threads to one place is a possibility. I am interested in reading about, and responding to, doggy threads f course, but when I first came here and was looking for experiences of those who had come before me, it required a lot of sifting ...even a thread on "front legged ampucats" and another on "hind legged ampucats" might be good? I remember looking specifically for people who had THE EXACT EXPERIENCE I was heading into (which of course, didn't exist anyway, but it was most comforting to find stories about cats also dealing with bone cancer, and/or also having front leg amputations, and/or also being middle aged, and/or also being black :P).Â

Yes, we can move topics if necessary—if we have not already linked to them from elsewhere. Send links if you find any you feel should be in this forum.

Please feel free to start new topics with such titles to help generate more helpful feedback!

I agree with Inkpot on having front leg amps & and rear leg amps listed. I did the same research when we were looking for Purrkins, it is alot of reading to find the front leg blogs and the rear leg blogs. I can't imagine having to go thru all the dog blogs looking for front and rear leg
I went thru them all and will list them on separate post.  I wasnt sure if you would like them here or in the New Kitty forum 😻
There are also a few that are not determined front or rear. I know it will need to be updated as more kitties come. Hopefully its a start!
This will help save some kitty parents someday some time in there frantic research.
I think litter box in tripawds would also be a good topic. Among the others Kerren mentionedÂ
