Hi. I'm new and I'm looking for advice. My cat, Buttercup recently had amputation surgery on Friday and he will not keep the ecollar on. Now that he's getting up more and becoming more active and aware hes started to lick his incision. I've been watching him but cant watch every minute. Can someone please recommend anything that would work. He does not like anything around his neck, it took us 2 years and numerous collars to have him keep him collar on.

Hi and welcome! So today is 1 week post surgery? Which leg did he have amputated?
Some people have been able to cover the incision with a onesie that is sewn where the amp limb is, there are also soft cones that may be more acceptable.
Warm or cool damp compresses on the area can also ease the itchiness that comes as the incision heals.
Please tell us more about your Buttercup. Why did he have to have his limb amputated?
