Ok, here's a couple of questions for Stacey regarding Maggie:

1.  Is there anything that Maggie feels that I should let her do that I don't let her do because of her being a tripawd?

2.  How does Maggie feel both physically and mentally now being a tripawd and aging?

That's probably too many questions and can only ask one?

As far as what Maggie looks like, would Stacey prefer maybe a photo of our dogs prior to the show?  I know some animal communicators go by photo's?

Thanks!

Tracy

Gosh, I wish I wasn't a complete skeptic. I would love to know what's going on in Rio's head!

You're right! Here goes:

Rio has this "I WANT" thing that she does. She parks herself near me, hums, and stares at me (practically bores holes in my brain). If I ignore her, she does this little whistle/whine thing until she gets my attention. When I ask her what she wants, she gets very animated. The trouble is, I don't know if she's hungry, needs to go outside to potty, wants attention, needs to throw up, wants a cookie, etc., because it's the same routine for everything. How do I decipher this behavior so that I know what the heck she's asking me for? (Because I'm sure she thinks I'm a really slow learner!!! winker)

What would Gerry like for Christmas?

I plan to be on the chat for the show to ask, (and might come up with a different question by then) but wanted to help generate ideas. big-grin

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Oh geez, don't remind him!  He had it once, but that was before I discovered his touchy stomach.

Micki, that is so funny!

Comet and I had our own language and I knew everything she meant with just her looks.  I even voiced her thoughts to everyone that would listen to me!  "Comet says....".

NOW - I can't figure out a think Rocket wants!  He teases and play games with a straight face!

The other night, he wanted to go for a ride and he was trying to tell me by jumping around.  Well, I didn't get it and kept asking him what he wanted. So - he finally went and nudged my purse and then went to his soft sided crate and then back to my purse and then his soft sided crate!  (He goes to his soft sided crate when we "go" somewhere without him - not locked up, he just goes in it when we leave).   I know he was saying, "Geeze mommy if you don't get this, then you are dumb!".

Purse nudge + crate = car ride!  And for his smartness...he got to go for a ride to Sonic and got some ice cream!

Her Retired AvatarComet - 1999 to 2011

She departed us unexpectedly  January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.

She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Sounds like someone is going to have figured out that "purse nudge + crate = ice cream"

I see a lot more purse nudging and crate nosing in your future!

I might try to call in and think of a question for Abby. (even though I am a skeptic too... but it would be fun to know what she's thinking!)

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

It would be easier if Rio would do something different for the "I wants." But they are all the same... I ask, "Do you have to potty?" Wiggle and harumpf and head toss and sneeze, then run away and back and away and back. "Do you want a cookie?" Wiggle and harumpf and head toss and sneeze, then run away and back and away and back. Everything has the same response, and I feel like a 'tard because I've had eleven plus years of this, and I still don't know what she wants.... My husband says she is me in dog form... What does that mean?????

Questions for Stacy

(I will try to dial in but our company holiday party is the same time so I thought I would post my questions in case I cant disappear into my office during the festivities)

"Samson" 13 yrs Upstate NY: Is there anything Sam would like to do again (if dogs have a bucket list) or does he have any needs?

"Lady" Sr. Dalmatian- We just adopted her 2 weeks ago. Is there anything she would like to let us know about herself or her needs?

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.
Do you have what it takes to be a Monkeybutt? Find out more at the Monkeybutt Federation

I hope lots of people ask questions!  Gerry and I have had two sessions with Stacy.  I'm very curious to hear if others will get as much out of talking to her as Gerry and I have.  We've gone in person (and in dog).  I hope it'll work as well over the radio/chat.  This is a great opportunity, if you're curious, to see if there really might be something to this animal communication stuff, without even paying for it big-grin  Thanks Tripawds!

Oh, and think about your questions carefully ahead of time - I'm sure the 30 minutes for the whole show will go fast!

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
