December 4 marks Tanner's one month ampuversary. I can hardly believe it has been a month already. He continues to go great and we are enjoying all this "bonus time" we have with him. His big brown eyes are so soulful and I could swear he is saying "thank you mom" with those eyes. I really do believe they are thankful for the pain being gone. Tanner has taught me so much about living each day to the fullest. He has also taught me about what is "fair" and a whole lot more about love. My favorite lesson is dogs do not know what feeling sorry for themselves means.....just not in their vocabulary. When he was first diagnosed I was feeling cheated (not only for myself but for Tanner too) and found myself asking others "why him?" It was Tanner though, that has been answering my question through his zest for life and his remarkable ability to adapt. All you tripawds out there have my utmost respect!!! You guys rock!!
Thank you all for your continued advice and support.
Amy and Tanner
Oh congratulations Tanner! It seems like just yesterday when we first heard about your story. Isn't it funny how all those little steps add up to one big celebration, just a month later?
I'm glad your Mom can read what you're saying to her in Doglish, and that she's realy understanding what we're always trying to tell humans. Life's too short to dwell on the negative things that may happen, right?
Keep staying pawsitive, and live each moment to the fullest. We love you!

Yeaaaaaaaa Tanner!!! Keep on truckin' buddy!!! You are truly "thinking dog" now Amy! Congratulations!!! It is quite an amazing process, isn't it?! I truly don't know if I would have reached this point and learned the valuable lessons I have (and still continue to learn) without the incredible support from all of the kind folks on this wonderful forum of course.
Happy ampuversary Tanner buddy! Post pics of your adorable self Tanner so we can see that happy friendly Golden Retriever face of yours!
