Hi all.
So happy to tell you guys that Tanner is back to 100%. He is running (fast) in his backyard playing in the snow. He is eating everything in sight, playing with his toys, taking our shoes and slippers hostage and giving many kisses. We restled with our decision to amputate at first but now we know we absolutely did the right thing for Tanner. He loves life and has become such an inspiration to us and all of our friends and family that know him. A HUGE part of our confidence in knowing we did the right thing is with the help from you guys. Your advice and support is much appreciated. The road ahead with Tanner is a big question mark but knowing you are here makes this difficult time that much easier. Thank you again.

Yea Tanner!!! It makes our hearts sing to see them start to return to normal ( or at least new normal, LOL) Especially after all the emotions and tough decisions we pawrents go through. Go for the gusto Tanner and we know what you mean about inspiration. Cody does that for us everyday! Pets and licks to Tanner!!!

Oh Amy, what a success story! Thank you for that beautiful update, you made our day. We like how you said "the road ahead . . . is a big question mark." That is so true. Nobody can answer that, nobody can predict the future, so why not just do what you're doing, and celebrate the here and now!
Congratulations Tanner, we are thrilled for you! Keep it up, and remember to post some photos when you have a chance. We are here for you buddy.

What wonderful news. GO TANNER!! Every time Radar plays or runs I rejoice (and sometimes worry) but it's so great to see that love of life in them.

So glad to hear Tanner is back to his old self!! I know how wonderful that is to see them that way.
Life is a big question mark and like Jerry says, we now choose to live in the hear & now. I would much rather see Calamity chasing down her brothers & sisters than have to keep her on a lead or scream at her to slow down. I still want to tell her to slow down, but we have to let her be a dog.
Here's hoping that Tanner gets to have the best that life can offer to him!!

Thank you Tanner and Amy for sharing this HAPPY news. It's happiness for us pawrents beyond words when our babies are themselves again after such a traumatic surgery...I understand completely the joy in your heart. One day at a time...one minute at a time - our cancer canine heroes teach us one of (in my opinion) the ultimate lessons in life...cherish and LIVE in the here and now.
Wishing you many, many more days filled with joy, love and happiness together.
Love
