OH YEAH! Major hoppy dance over here. That is such a huge improvement and so very, very hopeful. The healthy tissue and no more antibiotics is such great news. The body IS amazing and Sheldon is extra amazing!

That boy is such a champ, and so are you. Good job Rob! Thanks for the scoop.

Joining in on the Happy hoppy dance!  This update makes us all soooo happy😊

Your patience and confidence in knowing this hurdle will be overcome is quite admirable.  This journey has been informative on so many levels.   While we certainly wish uou were never pit in this position, we can all learn from it.

Smooch the Sheldon for us!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Update:  Today's bandage change showed Sheldon's olecranon (elbow joint) is now completely covered with healthy granulation tissue!  There is no more bone showing!  Our vet showed me a photo and he just now has a red elbow.  We'll continue the splint arrangement and twice-weekly bandage changes for at least another a couple of weeks for the skin to thicken up, but this is a huge milestone!

Next check up is this Friday.  We're getting there!

Cheers!

WHEW! YAY!

That is a HUGE success! Hygromas are such a beast, it sounds like that special wrap was da bomb! I'd love to write about it for Tripawds News. Gonna message you with some questions.

Congrats to you and Sheldon. This is the best news of the day!

Update:  Short and boring one - but good!  Sheldon's wound bed continues to show further healing.  The olecranon is still covered up which is great.  They started to measure the wound bed instead of eyeballing it.  On Tuesday's checkup it measured 4.5cm x 4.5cm.  Today's check it measured 4.0cm x 4.2cm.  They debrided it a little bit with the hopes of jump starting contraction and healing.  He's still wearing the splint arrangement.

We'll just keep doing what we're doing!

Cheers!

Yeah keep up the amazing, patient, and loving work you are doing to help your sweet Sheldon. So happy for you guys!
