Coco had her amputation 3 weeks ago, and this seroma has gotten huge in the past 2 weeks. I sent pics to CSU and they advise to put a heat pack on it, which doesn't seem to do anything.

It's Sunday and I am a little panicked. Does anyone have experience with something like this?

Hi Coco and Mom, welcome. I'm in the Tripawds Chat room right now if you want to talk.

Yes, seromas are very common (click on the link for more info) and typically not harmful. If it's not smelly or oozing icky discharge, it's probably fine. Seromas often resolve on their own but sometimes they do not. I would let CSU know you want to have it drained tomorrow. It's a quick procedure that only takes a minute.

seroma can be made worse by too much activity too soon. Try to keep her calm and mellow in the meantime.

Tell us more about your pup when you get a chance. Why the amp?

We're here to help however we can!
