Hi, everybody!
Tomorrow it will be 4 weeks since my amputation. I can't believe it. Seems like a long time ago, but also like it was just yesterday.
I had my first chemo Rx about 9 days ago (carboplatin) and it went really well. My lab work showed that my wbc's are a little bit low, but not bad. I feel good and am going for walks again on the bike path with my new red harness (people are always looking at me - I know it is because I am so smashing in red!) I even run a little in the morning, especially if my bro', Zoom, gets ahead of me. He isn't faster than me! I pull my mom across the field, but that's good for her - she needs exercise. She is still getting some weight training by carrying me up and down the stairs, but I am starting to get the hang of them again, especially if I know there is a cookie waiting at the top of the stairs for me! Sometimes I pretend I can't climb them just to make sure I get one of those yummy treats (boy, do I have my human companions trained. . . .)
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and let you all know that I am doing great. And, remember, "GO TRIPAWDS!!!!!"
Love, Blackjack
Hi Nancy & Blackjack,
It's soooo good to hear that Blackjack's one month ampuversary went so well. He is a superstar! This has to have made you extremely happy that he is doing so well, so soon after surgery. Please keep up posted on any updates and it's great to hear from you again.
Go TRIPAWDS, indeed!
Love, Vicki, Blazer & Kitty Kimber
Right on, Blackjack! We are so glad you're loving life and feeling good again. Congratulations on making it through some ruff times.
Yeah, you do have those humans trained. I wish I had thought of that treat-at-the-top-of-the-stairs trick. And the Ruffwear vest sure does make us look cool, doesn't it? It makes us look like official ambassadors for Tripawds everywhere! Post some photos of yourself wearing it when you get a chance, we'd love to see some.
Take care and let us know how things are going.

You go Blackjack, so good to hear you are doing so well. Wow, that cookie treat make me wish we had stairs in our house that is awesome. Yep that Ruffwear vest does make us look like ambassadors for this gang. I for one looked like Rachel Welch on mine, or was it Jacquelyn Smith. Well you get my drift...I just absolutely looked mawvelous dawling! Take care and licks your way.

Yayyyy Blackjack! You go guy!!!
We wish you the best!
