Hey all!  I know from running a search at least a handful of you are already familiar with Rolling Dog Farm (in New Hampshire), formerly known as Rolling Dog Ranch (in Montanta).  I just saw a "Jack Hanna's Into the Wild" (most likely an old rerun) about this wonderful animal sanctuary, so just wanted to give it a plug.

Here's video of the program I just saw (done back when they were still in Montana):

(And now I actually see they have the video on their homepage, so probably simplest to go straight here, whoops!)

Sorry to all those whose heads I filled with a vision of a farm full of dogs racing around in wheelchairs!  But really, this is at least as cool as that...

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

Oh, so many sweeties! (The people too!)

Thanks for sharing that. I'd never heard of that place before.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Yesh! Thanks for sharing. Jerry first mentioned Rolling Dog Ranch in the Tripawds News Blog back in 2009 with this letter from Lalla's mom.

Lalla was Jerry's girlfriend from Israel who had a contribution from Cesar Milan donated to the ranch in her honor. We were not aware they had relocated.

What a wonderful cause. I am glad there are people in the world like Alayne and Steve. Thanks for sharing!

Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.

We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
