Our friend Spirit Maruk just told us about this sweet Corgi-Pom pup who really deserves a loving home. If you know anyone who can help, please contact Bideawee ASAP.
"Hop along" Cassidy is the happiest, fluffiest, and friendliest pup, despite his disability! This gentle sweetheart was born with a deformed right forelimb, which makes him "hop along" slowly.
Cassidy was rescued from a municipal shelter in Georgia, where his owner abandoned him after 5 years. When he was rescued, he was plagued with symptoms of neglect, including a flea infestation, ear mites, severe tartar and missing teeth, and obesity. He has been treated and is currently on a diet here at Bideawee. Cassidy has a collapsing trachea, which is permanent and causes him to cough when excited or exerting himself a lot.
But this loving 21 pound pooch gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. He's a lap sitter, well-behaved, and knows "down." Cassidy is kennel trained and mostly housebroken. We have already fallen in love with this brave little guy, and we are sure you will too!

A Corgi mix with a birth defect! Admin, why don't you reach in and rip my heart out?!! I can see a little Comet in the face!!!!!!!
FYI, before coming to tripawds, I dug deep into researching birth defects on dogs and one of things I found was that dwarf dogs are higher prone to it. (like a Corgi)
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
