Look into the shining eyes of this allstar floof! Alaska is a mellow, smaller sized husky in the Seattle area who’s available to adopters in WA and BC. Here's what PawsomeBaby rescue has to say about her:

“Hi, I’m Alaska! I’m a calm, friendly husky, so full of love to give! I am small size, mellow husky. I was found on the streets of Lebanon, with a severely injured front leg that needed amputated. Having one less leg doesn’t make me any less of a husky. I love to go for walks, can climb stairs and run around just fine.

I love to hang out with calm dogs. I find high energy puppies too overwhelming. I could also live as your one and only baby or best friend.
I love humans big and small; but will do better in a home with bigger humans, as you know little kiddos can be a bit too much 🙂

I’m looking for a special human, who will love me whole, in spite of me being a tripaw! It would be awesome if my human is retired, or works from home, or can take me where they work. I don’t like to be left alone all day. Who likes it anyway? Are you that special human?"

Alaska has a sweet, quiet demeanor, like a lady. She looks so happy and bubbly, and enjoys the cool weather of the Pacific Northwest!
We think she is around 2-3 years old.

CHARACTERISTICS: Friendly, Gentle, Independent, Quiet

Psst! - If Alaska is taken or isn’t quite for you, perhaps consider another Pacific NW tripawd such as, BC: Samson, and Merkel, WA: Andy, Trig Girl, and Trace, OR: Sugar & Cookie, and Ninja

There are also some amazing trikitties in the area too - BC: Bunny, WA: Poppy, and OR: Walter & Wiggins.

Incidentally, there’s a bevy of bipawds around the continent right now: Merkel, Loic, and Lacy.

---

And if these tripawds aren’t near enough or the right fit for you, perhaps share them with someone who is?

To find a better matched tripawd of your own, try this!

Note: With any tripawd, it’s good to ask about the reason for the amputation if it’s unlisted, just to get a clearer picture of the pet’s health and history. “Unknown” isn’t a dealbreaker, but more info can help you as a pet parent make a more informed decision!

Alas, Alaska the mellow, mid-sized husky has been returned. Sometimes it’s just not the right fit - sad as it is to see the occasional return, there’s no shame in it, and best to realize the mis-match as soon as possible.

All - Is she a fit for you? …or someone you know? Feel free to share her on your socials so we can get this girl the hooman(s) she’s looking for! sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2

So sad.... mist be  so confused to be back...

It takes so long for a shelter dog to adjust and decompress and get to know the routines of the new hooma s   to decompress.....

I'm sure they gave it time........just wish ot had worked out

Ohhh poor girl! Huskies are so energetic, many people under-estimate their needs, especially the three legged ones. At least she found out quickly that she didn't have the right family, yet.
