Not sure what happened there ... this one posted fine. A topic must have a title to be saved. The system alert message will also indicate success or any failure when saving a post.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We've now moved this post to the Tech Support forum .

Hi Pam and Tazzie,
I now have developed a habit of copying what I typed onto the clipboard (or even paste it on a Notepad) before hitting the “Save Post” button. That case if for some reasons the message could not be salvaged, I could still paste back what I got in the Notepad and re-do the posting!
I get the message everytime I post too - I hit the browser back button and my post shows, but it doesn't track the day/time for the post.
I don't know what to do on my end to fix it? Anything?
Heather and Spirit Zeus - Our life changing journey…from the earth to the heavens…one day at a time…always together
Pam and Heather, Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to find anything else we can do on our sides. I have tried switching to Firefox, and made sure I cleaned up the cache, temp files, before I posted; yet, I still run into the error page very often.. All these have started only last week.
This is what Jim suspects: “Server errors are likely due to our shared-hosting account during high traffic times. The only solution for this will be to upgrade our hosting”.
In any event, copy the text of of your post before you “Save New Post” just in case you lost it after getting Error 500, you won't need to re-type the whole thing. I've found that in most cases when Error 500 came up, the post would still go through, sometimes even more than once; As Heather said, it just didn't track the last updated poster and date/time for that topic that's all.
Thank you all for your patience, we truly apologize for the inconveniences. We are currenlty investigating our options for improving performance and our host is being less than helpful, to put it nicely.
We we will probably undergo a migration to a dedicated server account. This will not only require a fundraising campaign to cover the additional costs, but time and help from a wordpress / database expert. The upgrade of the forums that I took on alone was a nightmare where we almost lost everything.
Thanks again, please stay tuned...
