858g COMPLETE etched slice of Campo Dr Cielo iron METEORITE

Offered here is a large, lightly etched, complete 858 gram slice of Campo del Cielo, low iron, group IAB Argentinian meteorite. This fall is believed to have occurred between 4000-5800 years ago. Fragments from this meteoritic event was brought back to Spain when one of the country's expeditions returned from the New World in 1576. Recovered amounts of this fall range in the 31,000 kgs.
The meteorite's composition is about 92% Fe, 6.7% Ni and 4% Co with added silicate-graphite troilite inclusions.
