I am so delighted to tell you that it has been 1 month since Toto's amputation! He is doing great and we are all so happy. I will probably have more to say (and pics!) on my blog later... but for now, I just had to brag about my tripawd. 🙂

Every day that we can spend with our special companions is a victory and worthy of celebrating. Reaching the 1 month apmuversary is a very special milestone and call for a very big celebration. We will be joining that celebration vicariously and toasting this the first of many more ampuverseries for Toto. You have to get past one month to get to two months. You have to get past two months to get to three months. .......etc. You can see how our minds work, but seriously this is a very important milestone and often marks the end of the hardest part of the journey.

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
