Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Awe, happy birthday AND happy ampuversary. What a wonderful week for you and your family. You light up our lives with that dark beauty, curly hair, and fabulous support and advise for us all. I'm so happy to be able to celebrate this milestone with you.

Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

Thought that I had better post a short note to put this "bug" talk to rest. Dad says that he is sorry that he mentioned anything on the postings. One slipped out and the other was to let Raven's mom know why we would not be there. I would have loved to go and she could use the support. Yes, I am feeling much better but I am not sure what all the worry was about. Just because I had a hard time standing, my legs were shaking both standing and lying down, had extreme diarrhea, was eating about 10% of my normal amount and vomiting, what is the big deal! Hey, I was not worried. Mom was in Monterey doing a ½ marathon with my vet on Sunday, and I knew that if I did need attention, they would make sure I got it. Dad says that his prayers that I "only caught a bug" were answered positively – what ever that means.
He did delay my bath and grooming which for many would be a positive, but I actually like being on the grooming table. It's all the attention.
The first day of my three day "Birthday-Ampuversary-Thanks to Vet Staff" celebration was wonderful. Dad says that he will pull something together when it is over.
I mention this because it is much more important that we send our positive thoughts and prayers to Jake's Mom, Emily's Mom, Tika's Mom, and Caya as well as all the others whose journey is not going well. Right now they could use all the support possible and we all know how much this community's support means to all of us.

Shilo diagnosed with osteosarcoma 9/4/2009, amputation 9/9/2009. ShiloAnne lost her battle 11/23/2009 where she regained her fourth leg and is patiently waiting for her parents to join her. We will always love you baby girl.
Well, Miss Cherry, that sound you hear from up north is me popping the cork on a fresh bottle of champagne and toasting your ONE YEAR ampuversary in style!!! WOOOO!!!!!!!! You are SUPER! I hope your daddy got you lots of yummy things today because you certainly deserve it. Gold Star!!!!!!!
