Caira Sue says Thanks for the celebratory forum post! But honestly, she's doggone excited about the party tomorrow! We brought home a bag of goodies for the party tomorrow and Adam has been working on a hat for Cemil's birthday. Unfortunately for you guys...no one is getting a ball because Caira has already dug them out and chewed most of them up!
We said it's ok because, heck, it's her 6 month ampuversary, darnit! Chew up all those tennis balls!

Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Normally I talk about the fact that every day with our special companions is a day to celebrate. Then make sure that every one realizes a milestone like six months is really worthy of a PAWRTY. Then, I conclude with telling how we will be celebrating vicariously, lots of hugs, toasts, special treats, truck rides and ICE CREAM. While all of this is still true - today we not not have to do it Vicariously. Today, we may get to celebrate in person with Caira Sue. WOW!!!
Caira Sue, make sure that your pawrents have viewed Nova's Ampuversary Party Blog about how to pawrty, and Cherry's Three Day Celebration site. Cherry was also able to spend a month in Yellowstone for her seventh ampuversary, but I would not recomend that just now. Perhaps for one of those later ampuversary - just about the time for the one year ampuversary would be perfect.

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
