Hi all:
Mom told me that there seems to be quite a few new 'family' members and people having sad days so I told her that they all needed another one of my silly videos. That way, everybody can see how well I'm doing and they can look forward to the future!
Mom here: Smart dog, huh! It's been nearly 6 months since I had my world rocked with Tika's diagnosis. However, today, I often forget that she has cancer or that she's got only three legs. Amazing!
In fact here's a conversation I had with somebody just recently, it just cracks me up.
Neighbor: Oh, what a beautiful dog you have.
Me: Why, thank you. I'm very proud of her.
Neighbor: I see you guys walking around all the time, may I ask, what's wrong with her leg?
Me: Nothing, I don't think. She's seems to be doing just fine.
Neighbor: No, I think she's limping........oh my god, she's only got three legs! I didn't even notice that, I thought she was limping!
Me: (laughing my butt off) OH! I thought you were saying something was wrong with her other leg and I was panicking.
Neighbor: NO, I really didn't know that she only had three legs! That's INCREDIBLE! Was she born like that?
Me: No. (proceed to tell the story)
Neighbor: No way! SHE'S SO AWESOME!
So, even she didn't even notice the missing leg, she just thought I had a funny walking dog! Hah! In the meantime, I'm going OH no, what's happened to her remaining legs (not even thinking that she might be referring to the missing one!)
So anyhoo--Tika says "Watch everybody, I can swim!" Please ignore my brat German Shepherd, she's very territorial over 'her' pool.

That's great! Good to see Tika getting around so well. Tika swims like a champ!
Our shepherd won't go in the tank we got for Chuy's therapy, only up the ramp. He's a big chicken.
Chuy, showing everyone that Tripawds do everything 3 times better than regular dogs!
That's funny. Our shepherd would NEVER get into the pool, she would have a heart attack if I lead her to the stairs. Full blown trauma queen display.
Then one day, she jumped in. And our lives have never been the same since.
However, Ramps? NO WAY, NO HOW! eek! She's a big chicken also!

Thank yo so much for sharing this awesome video!
Jerry never went anywhere near water. Then at a lake one time a couple search and rescue shepherds in training taught him how to swim, or at least made him realize he could. From then on, he loved it! Much later in life, the K9 Float Coat helped keep him swimming which is great physicsal therapy. Looks like Tika has quite a coat of her own though!
