Hi everyone
I'm sorry that we have been missing for a while. It's been....difficult here for the past month or so.
First the good news. Today, Darcy is celebrating 14 months post diagnosis/amp. I can hardly dare believe that we may very well be celebrating her second Christmas as a tripawd, in just a few short days. She is her usual diva-like self and her fur is growing back thick and fast. She's as lazy as ever, so some things never change LOL
Sadly, we have suffered three losses in recent weeks. On 2nd December, we lost Wallace (greyhound, aged 10) who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in August. Then on 4th December (I know - it doesn't even bear thinking about) we lost Radar (crossbreed aged 13) to heart failure. His illness was very sudden and to loose him so close after Wallace was a terrible shock.
And then on 9th, my father in law Ken passed away after a long 6 months of poor health. The funeral is on Thursday of this week.
I've thought about everyone here a lot over the past weeks but I've just not had the time to come and chat as I normally would. I hope to resume 'normal service' once this week is behind us.
Love to all
Bev & Darcy

A bittersweet update indeed. It's great to hear that Darcy is doing so well. And sad to hear of your losses. Our hearts go out to you and your family during this sad time. We miss you, and are here for you whenever you want to talk.

Hi Bev & Darcy,
Firstly - congratulations on Darcy's 14 month Ampuversary!! That is FANTASTIC!! Darcy is a real survivor - we are so happy to have had the opportunity to get to know you and your brave dawg over the past few months.
Secondly, we are very sorry to hear about your loss. I also went through more or less the same situation when one of our cats and my grandmother passed away in September and October of this year. We are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time and send all our love and good wishes.
Love,
Ansunette & Dee xx
Hi Bev & Darcy,
We, too, are thrilled to hear Darcy is doing so well, but are very sad to hear about your losses of Wallace & Radar & your father-in-law. We do understand why you haven't been able to post, but always love it when you do. Please take care of yourselves and keep going strong, Darcy.
Love, Blazer, Kitty Kimber & Mom (Vicki)
